You won’t find anywhere in the world with more Christmas cheer – from enormous tree on Main Street USA, to the extravagant decorations around the park.  But what really makes the season come alive are the amazing Magic Kingdom Christmas shows.

Most of the Magic Kingdom Christmas shows take place at night in November and most of December during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party – a special hard ticket event.

On the weekend before Christmas, right up until New Year you can catch all of these shows throughout the day or evening (consult the times guide when entering the park so you don’t miss a single one).

A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas

In this high energy performance, Buzz Lightyear, Mike Wazowski, and a whole cast of singers and dancers put on an intergalactic holiday performance.

Everyone’s favorite alien – Stitch – is determined to make magic happen by getting Santa to appear in the show!  All sorts of high jinks ensure before the inevitable happy conclusion.  Catch this one at  the Rockettower Plaza Stage in the center of Tomorrowland.

A big Christmas extravaganza on the Castle Forecourt Stage starring Mickey and all his friends, plus Clarabelle Cow, Chip and Dale, Woody and Jessie, Panchito Pistoles and Jose Carioca, Snow White and Dopey, Peter Pan and Wendy, Pinoccho and Jiminy Cricket, plus Alice and the White Rabbit. There’s lots of good music and dancing.

Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season

Wishes is the greatest fireworks show that WDW has ever put on, and special version the folks at Disney have created is just stunning.  Combining hundreds of fireworks set to holiday music with characters we know and love, this show is truly spectacular.

Watch from Main Street or the central hub if you can – the show concludes with Snow on Main Street and that’s reason enough to stand in the thick of the crowds.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Time Parade

Is a parade a show? At Dad’s Guide we say YES!  Imagine all your favorite Disney characters from Mickey and Pooh to Peter Pan to Woody and Wreck-It Ralph to Elsa and Belle all decked out in special winter outfits.  Add sleighs, glittering iceicles, snowy Christmas trees, dancing reindeer and real, live Toy Soliders.

Top it all off with a heartwarming holiday soundtrack and an appearance by Santa Claus himself.  Now you can begin to imagine the wonderful show Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Time Parade has in store for you.

This parade is extra magical when seen at night during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.  During the last couple weeks of December it’s shown in the afternoon and loses a little something.  Watch in Frontierland for the lightest crowds, Liberty Square for an old-time charm, and Main Street USA for the full effect with lighting and all.

Each night during the Christmas season, Cinderella Castle transforms with glittering “dream lights” into a sparkling winter wonderland.  Of course, Elsa is behind all the ice and Anna, Olaf and Kristoff appear to help with this nightly (brief) lighting ceremony on the Castle Forecourt Stage.  This is the one show that happens nightly throughout the season for all guests!

The Magic Kingdom Christmas shows are some of the best at WDW at any time of year – and that’s saying a lot!  Don’t miss them – they’re sure to put you in the holiday spirit!
