Featuring a beautifully decorated dining room and incredible Nepalese decor paired with Asian-inspired cuisine, Yak & Yeti Restaurant is a standout within Disney’s Animal Kingdom

This table-service restaurant is a hit with adults, but it’s welcoming for kids (and their pickier palates), too. Designed to look and feel like a quaint village home at the base of Expedition Everest, it serves pan-Asian dishes for a wide range of tastes.

Inside, diners can take in artifacts from Southeast Asia, from golden statues to ornate carvings to artwork, making for an experience that’s as delicious visually as it is food-wise.

Yak & Yeti Restaurant Location

Yak & Yeti Restaurant is located in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom. As you cross the bridge into Asia from Discovery Island, you’ll find the restaurant to your right, right across from Drinkwallah and Royal Anandapur Tea Company.

Yak & Yeti Restaurant Menu

With a menu that centers around pan-Asian fare, the Yak & Yeti Restaurant menu features dishes that are familiar, like sweet-and-sour chicken, and more adventurous, like ahi tuna nachos.

The fare is more elevated than your typical quick-service restaurant (including the Yak & Yeti Local Food Kitchens next door), but it’s not exactly a Disney fine dining restaurant. So, what’s on the menu? Take a look at the menu for lunch and dinner below.

Disney Dining Plan

You can use the Disney Dining Plan at Yak & Yeti Restaurant. However, because it’s a table-service restaurant, it only accepts the Disney Dining Plan, not the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan.

Whether you dine at Yak & Yeti Restaurant for lunch or dinner, it’ll cost you one table-service meal credit per person.

Advance Dining Reservations

Yak & Yeti is one of the most popular restaurants in Animal Kingdom, so you’ll definitely want to make an advance dining reservation (ADR) before visiting.

Like most table-service restaurants across the parks and resorts, Yak & Yeti does see reservations get snapped up pretty quickly at the 60-day mark. It’s one of the toughest spots in Animal Kingdom to get an ADR for.

However, we recommend continually checking if you’re determined to dine. Occasionally, same-day spots can open up – and it is common for plans to change, resulting in random reservation slots reappearing in the weeks leading up to any given date.

Is Yak & Yeti Restaurant Kid-Friendly?

While Yak & Yeti Restaurant might seem a bit adventurous for kids, especially the under-5 age group, don’t worry about dining here with little ones. As the Disney World website touts, it’s a place to enjoy a “family-friendly feast” – and kids can absolutely enjoying the experience.

Inside the restaurant, there’s a ton to see and keep kids entertained. Stunning statues, impressive artwork, and even cool lighting fixtures (a favorite of my son when he was under a year old!) create an environment that’ll keep their eyes busy, even if you are fielding a lot of questions as you dine.

Additionally, though the menu does skew towards the Nepalese inspiration of the restaurant itself, there are plenty of options for picky eaters and kids of all ages (I mean, what other pan-Asian restaurant serves mac and cheese or mini corn dogs?!) The food is good, too – meaning you’ll enjoy dining here just as much as your little ones will.
