Finding an affordable, comfortable and convenient hotel room in Orlando when you’re visiting Disney World is a tall order these days as prices continue to rise, making vacations more expensive and stressful. But what if you could stay on property at a Walt Disney World Official Hotel that has loads of resort amenities plus Disney perks like early theme park entry, for only a fraction of what you’d pay at a Value Resort?
We recently had the chance to stay right across the street from Disney Springs (seriously, just a 5 minute walk!) at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista, which offers a wide range of amenities and exceptional value at Walt Disney World.
About Wyndham Lake Buena Vista
Wyndham Lake Buena Vista (or Wyndham LBV as you might see it called) is part the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, and it’s actually the closest one to Disney Springs! It’s also a Walt Disney World Official Hotel which means you can book your vacation package right on the Disney website, or with our travel partner, or with our booking link to save 20% on your next stay.
It’s located on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, so you can walk easily to enjoy all of the shopping, dining and entertainment options at Disney Springs. Bus transportation to all four theme parks is included in your stay and includes multiple departure times throughout the day.
Plus, you’ll be able to participate in Early Theme Park Entry at Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Magic Kingdom, which gives you an extra 30 minutes per day in the parks with lower crowd levels!
One bonus of the Wyndham LBV is that it’s actually two resorts in one! You can choose between the tower rooms in the Wyndham LBV, which are a little more spacious, or their newly renovated Wyndham Garden LBV rooms, which we cover in this post.
Both hotels share the same lobby and check in, amenities like pools and dining, and perks like Early Theme Park Entry. In this post, we’ll take a look inside a King Bed Disney View room at the Wyndham LBV, one of several options in the tower.

With 232 rooms in the tower each with a capacity of 3-4 people in 312 square feet (similar in size to Disney’s moderate resorts), the Wyndham LBV packs a lot of features into their rooms.
The beds are so comfy and soft – and made with an actual blankets, something missing in far too many “sheets only” hotel rooms these days, in my opinion. There are loads of fluffy towels in the bathroom (our was a tub/shower combo with great water pressure).
Another big perk? The mini fridge is waist-high and has a freezer compartment, which means you can stock up on beverages, snacks, and leftovers from your meals across the street at Disney Springs. There’s a safe that pulls out from the dresser so you can tuck it away as needed, plus a desk with a task chair so you can get some work done if needed.
Lastly, there were loads of electrical outlet and and USB ports, and a TV.
Perhaps best of all, our Disney View room provided sweeping views of Disney Springs and distant views of Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, and Space Ship Earth.
With two adults in a Disney View, 1 King Bed Room, we had lots of space to relax, work, and enjoy our room to the fullest. With a family of four, you could opt for either the king room with sofa bed or the two queen room and have plenty of space for everyone to stretch out.

Disney View, 1 King Bed Room Tour
Want to see what a Disney View, 1 King Bed room looks like? Upon entering, you’ll find yourself in a cozy hallway with a closet, hooks, and storage cubbies for shoes and accessories. Off the hallway is the bathroom with sink, toilet and a tub/shower combo.

Moving into the room, you’ll find a spacious bedroom with a king bed, sofa that converts into a bed, large ottoman that doubles as a coffee table, two small pull out ottomans if you need more seating, a desk and chair, plus a dresser with an integrated safe/mini fridge/coffee maker in addition to drawer storage and a flat screen tv on top.
There is plenty of storage space a lot of seating for work or relaxation. While this hotel does not have balconies, it does offer large windows with great views!

Dining Options
Looking to grab a bite to eat during your stay at the Wyndham LBV? You have a few different spots where you can get some food!
- LakeView Restaurant: Open for buffet breakfast on the second floor of the tower, featuring hot and cold dishes plus custom omelettes and fresh Mickey waffles made to order.
- Joffrey’s Coffee: Full barista service for coffees, teas, cold brew along with pastries and breakfast sandwiches located off the lobby.
- Sundial Cafe: A 24/7 grab-and go cafe with lots of beverages and sundries plus a CSV vending machine located on the lobby level.
- Eclipse Lounge: Evening cocktails and craft brews with small plates in a stylish lobby lounge with daily happy hour and sports on screens.
- Oasis Restaurant: A poolside bar and grill featuring frozen cocktails, burgers, sandwiches, wings, and more for lunch and dinner.
Along with on-site dining, you have dozens of dining options across the street at Disney Springs, from snacks (we love the cookie bar at Summer House on the Lake) and drinks (check out the frozen wine cocktails at The Basket by Wine Bar George!) to quick service options (like Blaze Pizza, Earl of Sandwich and eet by Maneet Chauhan) and upscale table service spots like STK, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill or Morimoto Asia.

This is the closest hotel to Disney Springs – you literally walk out the front door and down the hotel driveway, use a pedestrian bridge to cross the road, and you’re there in the middle of the Marketplace at Disney Springs!
