Disney has announced changes for the beloved Frozen Ever After ride at Walt Disney World. Read more about what to expect from the updated version of the ride!
It’s a season of changes at Walt Disney World. Along with new rides and lands (Zootopia: Better Zoogether and the Tropical Americas land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, among others), there are also updates planned for current attractions.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is undergoing a lengthy refurbishment, opening in 2026 with new updates and effects. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, similarly, is going through some changes at Magic Kingdom. And now, Disney has announced a beloved family attraction at EPCOT will be getting some new faces.
Frozen Ever After Updates at Disney World
In a post on Disney Parks Blog, Disney revealed that Frozen Ever After will be getting updated Audio-Animatronics. Fans of the ride know that the Audio-Animatronics on the ride use projections to display facial features. The technology was front of mind in 2016, but plenty of new advancements have been made in teh last decade.

Disney has revealed that Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff will all get new looks, becoming the first attraction to have all electric Audio-Animatronics figures, and the first to combine electric motors and 3D printing. Building upon the technology of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, to Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival at Tokyo DisneySea, and World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland, Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff Audio-Animatronics figures will soon receive new updates.
As of now, no date has been given for the changes, but it’s certainly an update fans of the ride have to look forward to!
