Echo Lake at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

by | May 3, 2024 | Disney's Hollywood Studios, Echo Lake, Walt Disney World | 0 comments

Echo Lake is a nostalgic area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios that contains elements of the park from throughout the decades. The most iconic part of the area is Echo Lake itself, which is home to the massive green dinosaur Gertie. Nearby, you can enjoy dining at Hollywood & Vine or the vintage-themed 50’s Prime Time Cafe, where visitors can enjoy comfort food in a retro setting. Nearby, you can also enjoy rides such as Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, or sit down for a thrilling show at the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular.

Let’s explore everything there is to do at Echo Lake in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Echo Lake Attractions

There are several attractions to enjoy in the area, including one ride and three different shows. Here’s what you’ll find in the area:

  • Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular: A 30-minute show with amazing stunts from the Indiana Jones franchise.
  • Star Tours—The Adventures Continue: A 3D, motion-simulated space flight through the tales of the Star Wars universe.
  • Vacation Fun: An animated short with Mickey and Minnie

Echo Lake Table Service Restaurants

There are two major table service restaurants, both of which are pretty popular. We recommend making an Advance Dining Reservation to guarantee seating.

  • Hollywood & VineA character dining experience where guests can meet Disney characters while enjoying a buffet that spans American cuisine. Theming changes based on the season.
  • 50’s Prime Time CafeA themed diner transports guests to a 1950s family home, complete with classic American meals and playful interactions with “family member” servers.
    • Tune-In Lounge: Adjacent to the 50’s Prime Time Cafe, this cozy bar offers a selection of classic cocktails, beers, and wines in a nostalgic mid-century setting.

Echo Lake Quick-Service Restaurants

  • Backlot ExpressA quick-service restaurant themed as a bustling movie studio backlot.
  • Dockside DinerEnjoy classic American fare served waterside at Echo Lake.

Echo Lake Snack Spots, Carts, and More

You’ll find a few quick dining spot on Echo Lake:

  • Epic Eats: Located near the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, this snack stand is famous for its funnel cakes and ice cream.
  • Oasis Canteen: Another option located near Indiana Jones, you can pick up specialty cocktails.
  • Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction: Head over to Gertie for a dinosaur-shaped shop to pick up ice cream and frozen treats.
