The Beak and Barrel

by | Nov 12, 2025 | Adventureland, Table Service Restaurants

Step into the swashbuckling world of The Beak and Barrel, a pirate-themed tavern tucked within Adventureland. This table-service lounge, which is the first-ever bar inside Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, draws inspiration from the lore of Pirates of the Caribbean. Here, guests are immersed in a lively hideaway filled with nautical details (including Easter eggs from the attraction), hidden treasures, and plenty of pirate charm.

Whether you’re stopping in for a spirited break or soaking up the seafaring atmosphere, The Beak and Barrel offers an adventurous retreat right in the heart of the park.

The Beak and Barrel Location

You’ll find the Beak and Barrel in Adventureland, right next door to Pirates of the Caribbean. It’s just across the plaza from Tortuga Tavern.

The Beak and Barrel Menu

Drink up, me hearties, yo ho – because at the Beak and Barrel, you’ll find plenty of rum. As Magic Kingdom’s first bar, this dining destination is really designed for adults who want to grab a themed cocktail and immerse themselves in the world of Pirates of the Caribbean.

But, like we mentioned above, the Beak and Barrel is a table-service lounge. So, there is food on the menu here, and it’s likely the whole family will enjoy both the bites and the atmosphere. You can choose from Caribbean-inspired snacks to hearty pub-style plates.

Just note: The menu is limited. Because the Beak and Barrel is a bar first and an eatery second, its food options lean adult-focused rather than kid-friendly, and the plates are really designed for sharing like appetizers.

Check out what’s on the Beak and Barrel menu below.

Disney Dining Plan

The Beak and Barrel does not accept the Disney Dining Plan, so you cannot use credits from either version of the plan here.

Advance Dining Reservations

You will want to make advance dining reservations (ADRs) if you’re planning to visit the Beak and Barrel. Like all of Disney World’s table-service restaurants, it’s in high demand – however, the Beak and Barrel is a new addition to Magic Kingdom, which means it’s even more popular.

Because this lounge is so immersive and well-themed, expect ADRs to be difficult to get. This is one you’ll need to make well in advance (and you’ll likely have better luck as a Disney World Resort hotel guest, since you have an advantage in booking dining reservations).

Is the Beak and Barrel Kid-Friendly?

Like nearly all of Disney World’s restaurants, lounges, and even bars, the Beak and Barrel is family-friendly and will welcome young guests. However, as parents, we wouldn’t exactly call this table-service spot kid-friendly.

Sure, it’s immersive. Sure, it’s based on a popular Disney attraction. But because the food and drinks both lean heavily towards adult tastes, there isn’t much here that kids will want to eat. The odds you’ll get your child to eat the octopus tentacles in the Kraken’s Catch or the chili peppers in Cook’s Corn Griddle Cakes are pretty slim, unless they’re quite the adventurous eater.

And, of course, this is really a bar first and foremost. As a result, we think there are more kid-friendly alternatives elsewhere in Magic Kingdom.
