Feeling inspired by your ride on Pirates of the Caribbean and ready to grab a meal worthy of some seafaring, treasure-seeking sailors? We’ve got the perfect place: Tortuga Tavern. Head to this quick-service restaurant, and you can sink your teeth into some pirate-worthy fare – including those iconic Disney turkey legs.

Keep in mind that Tortuga Tavern is a bit unique compared to most other quick-service restaurants in Magic Kingdom. It operates seasonally, which means it can close for months at a time. You’ll want to double-check its scheduled operating hours ahead of your visit if you’re hoping to grab a meal here.

Note: Tortuga Tavern has been closed for the season since early June 2024.

Tortuga Tavern Location

Tortuga Tavern is located in Adventureland, right where you’d expect to find it: near Pirates of the Caribbean. The restaurant sits just across the walkway from the attraction.

Tortuga Tavern Menu

The Tortuga Tavern menu is slimmer than most Magic Kingdom restaurants, but its offerings cater to a pretty good variety of tastes and hunger levels. With just five entrées on the menu and no kids’ meal, you might expect some unexciting fare – however, there are choices for picky eaters and adventurous adults alike.

Take a look at what’s on the Tortuga Tavern menu when it’s available below.

Lunch and Dinner Menu

Entrées

  • Barbecued Pork Sandwich
  • Barbecued Slaw Dog
  • Orange Chicken Strips
  • Peanut Butter, Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread, and Banana Sandwich
  • All-Beef Hot Dog

Disney Dining Plan

Tortuga Tavern does accept the Disney Dining Plan, and guests who opt for the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan can also use their meal credits here.

It’ll cost one quick-service meal credit per person (or entrée ordered) to dine on the Disney Dining Plan here.

Advance Dining Reservations

Since Tortuga Tavern is a quick-service restaurant, it doesn’t offer or accept advance dining reservations (ADRs). You’ll need to walk up to order and dine at this Adventureland spot.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that Tortuga Tavern doesn’t always offer Mobile Order. You’ll want to check the availability of this time-saving service in the My Disney Experience app during your visit to see if it’s offered.

Is Tortuga Tavern Kid-Friendly?

While a quick-service spot with “tavern” in its name might not seem like a super kid-friendly place to dine with the family, Tortuga Tavern is actually quite family-friendly.

Thanks to its casual nature, Tortuga Tavern is a place where you and the kids can pop in, grab a quick bite, and get back to your day. While there’s no dedicated kids’ menu here, you can offer younger diners some delicious options like a classic hot dog (usually a kid fave) or the sweet and savory peanut butter, hazelnut spread, and banana sandwich.

Plus, with shaded outdoor seating, it’s a great place to take antsy kids who may be wiggly or not in the mood to be on their best table-service restaurant behavior.
