The spookiest time of the year is back at Walt Disney World. That’s right, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is back at Magic Kingdom for 2024. From trick-or-treating to fireworks, stage shows and parades, there’s so much to see and do for every member of the family. But, people often wonder, is the party worth the price of admission? We’re here to tell you who we think it’s worth it for and who could maybe skip it and save some money.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Prices
Tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party vary depending on the month you plan to attend. As of September, there are only two parties left with availability and in October, there are already five parties sold out.
If you visit in August, you can expect to pay anywhere between $119 and $129, September visitors can expect a bit of a bump in that price, ranging from $129 to $149. As we get closer to Halloween in October, prices jump from a range of $169 to $199. If you are a DVC Member or Annual Passholder, you can receive a $10 discount on these tickets. Children between the ages of 3 and 9 can also receive a $10 discount on tickets.
Is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Worth the Price?
While we think everyone should experience the spooky fun that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has to offer, there are some age groups that will get the most out of their time and money.
Worth it: Families with Kids Ages 8-12
Are you a family with children between the ages of 8 and 12? Then we think that the party is totally worth it! Since Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a nighttime ticketed event, to get the most value out of your cost, you’ll have to stay up quite late. For kids between the ages of 8 and 12, they will probably love the idea of staying up late, dressing up, and trick-or-treating.
Worth it: Adults
Adults, I’m coming for you next! If you love entertainment, riding all of the attractions possible, and lower than normal wait times, you are in for a treat (get it?). Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the perfect event for kids and those kids at heart. The price becomes worth the money when you factor in the smaller wait times for major attractions and all of the entertainment options that will be available to you.
Worth it: Teenagers
We know that teenagers aren’t always excited about things but they could totally love Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. From the epic dance parties you’ll find around Magic Kingdom Park, such as the one in Tomorrowland, to the villains that roam around, we think that the price of the ticket could be worth it for teenagers.
Not Worth it: Families with Babies and Younger Kids
Are you a family with kiddos under the age of three? Well, there’s good and bad news. Like regular daytime entry, kids under three don’t need a ticket to attend, so they can come along with their family members to the party. And if you have a baby or toddler that will nap while your other kids enjoy, well great! But if you just are going with a younger kid, it may not be worth it, even with the free entry.
This is especially true for kids in the three to six age range, who will need a separate ticket, and may not be a fan of the late night. Ultimately, you know your kid and their abilities best, so make sure to keep all factors in mind to decide if it’s best for them and you.
Not Worth it: Kids Afraid of Fireworks/Parades/Characters
One group that we definitely recommend that should skip Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is children who are afraid of fireworks, parades, or characters. Since the party is chock full of characters, you’ll be bound to see them around the park somewhere. The same is true of the fireworks. While there is only one showing of the fireworks at the party, small kids might be scared of the loud boom that the fireworks produce.

Alternatives to the Party
For those people who are in the category of it not being worth it to attend, we have an alternative for you. Visit Magic Kingdom Park during the day! While it might not be the same “Halloween Party,” guests can still experience the fun Halloween decorations and some of the same snacks offered during the party.
