Eight Spoon Café

by | Jun 17, 2025 | Dining, Discovery Island, Quick-Service Restaurants

Fuel up – or take a break to satisfy your hunger – at Eight Spoon Café, a quick-service restaurant that offers satisfying combinations of some standout foods. This Animal Kingdom restaurant is known for its bowls of cheesy macaroni, saucy pulled pork, and savory barbacoa beef, but it’s also a great spot to grab some of Disney World’s classic snacks.

Eight Spoon Café Location

Eight Spoon Café is located on Discovery Island in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, just across from Adventurers Outpost and steps from the bridge into Asia.

Eight Spoon Café Menu

Open from mid-morning into early evening, Eight Spoon Café is a solid place to grab lunch, a light dinner, or a mid-afternoon snack. Here, the menu is relatively small, but the offerings are surprisingly diverse.

Macaroni and cheese is really the standout choice at this quick-service dining spot, but savory dishes aren’t the only option. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, you’ll also find staple snacks here like churros and ice cream – and those iconic Mickey pretzels also make an appearance, just in case you prefer something salty.

Take a look at what’s on the menu at Eight Spoon Café below.

Disney Dining Plan

Advance Dining Reservations

Since Eight Spoon Café is a quick-service restaurant, you won’t need to worry about making an advance dining reservation (ADR) ahead of your day at Animal Kingdom. No reservations are offered here, so you can stop by any time it’s open.

Is Eight Spoon Café Kid-Friendly?

Little is more kid-friendly than a heaping bowl of macaroni and cheese, so it’s safe to say Eight Spoon Café delivers on that front. The whole family will easily find something to quench their thirst or satisfy their hunger here, whether they’re in the mood for a filling spin on macaroni and cheese, some of Disney World’s classic churros, or a Mickey-shaped ice cream bar or sandwich.
