How do you make Advance Dining Reservations for your Walt Disney World vacation? We’re taking a closer look at what an Advance Dining Reservation (ADR) at Disney World is, how to make them, and what you need to know.

Disney World Dining Reservations

What is an Advance Dining Reservation, or as most people call it, an “ADR.” ADRs are reservations for table service restaurants at Disney World. Just like a restaurant around your town, you can make reservations for all table service restaurants around Disney World.

When Can You Make an ADR?

Advance Dining Reservations can be made for most of the restaurants or events 60 days prior to your arrival date. If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, once you’ve hit your 60-day mark, you can make dining reservations for every day of your trip (up to 10 days). Make sure you link your reservation to your My Disney Experience account to make your reservations.

Typically, reservations will open up about 6 AM EST on your 60-day mark, so it can help to be logged on early to make reservations for some of Disney’s most popular restaurants.

Who Needs to Make ADRs?

If you want to eat at a table service restaurant, Disney recommends you make an ADR. Now, is this always true? For Disney World’s most popular restaurants, it is certainly important to. While there are some restaurants you may be able to grab a reservation for closer to your date, it’s always a good rule of thumb to make your reservations well in advance to makes sure you can secure the spots and times you want.
