The Best Bathrooms at Disney World: Park-by-Park Guide to the Cleanest and Most Themed Restrooms

Wondering where to find the best bathrooms at Disney World? We’re breaking it down park by park to know where to go…on the go!

Wondering where to find the best bathrooms at Disney World? Whether you call them restrooms, washrooms, or “loos,” knowing where to go—on the go—can make your park day a lot smoother.

Disney takes incredible care with every detail of its theme parks, right down to the restrooms. And while it might sound silly before your first visit, there are entire blogs, forums, and debates dedicated to which Disney World bathrooms are the cleanest, most themed, or easiest to access. You might even find yourself in a spirited EPCOT bus conversation about the “best loos” before your trip is over.

This guide breaks down the best Disney World bathrooms in each park—plus where to find companion restrooms—so you can plan your pit stops like a pro.

Best Bathrooms at Disney World: The Qualifications

In all seriousness, it can be argued that the best bathroom is whichever one is closest to you when you need it, and frankly, you will not be walking past them that often without stopping. Perhaps it is all of the walking, or maybe it is the constant battle to stay hydrated in the Florida sun, but you are going to be “inspired to go… deeper into the jungle” more often than at home. Don’t fight it.

You are not really helping things if you skip the restroom stop and hustle your team into the queue for Pirates of the Caribbean with full bladders. Call out, “Does anybody need the bathroom?” every time you see one, and if anyone says “yes,” you stop. It’s the cost of doing business. Sometimes literally (see what I did there?).

What makes a Disney World bathroom stand out as great? While the closest restroom is always the best when nature calls, a few factors make certain bathrooms worth seeking out:

  • Cleanliness and maintenance – Disney sets a high standard, but some locations are consistently spotless.
  • Theming and design – Some restrooms are so well-themed, they feel like part of the attraction.
  • Crowd levels – A lesser-known location often means shorter waits.
  • Convenience – Perfectly placed between major attractions or dining spots.

Here is our guide to some of the hundreds of heads you will hurry to hit while in the parks.

Best Bathroom at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Harambe Theatre Restrooms

Festival of the Lion King is a massive show, with an equally massive crowd (the seating capacity for the show is 1,450). The Harambe Theatre Restrooms don’t seat quite that many, but they were designed to accommodate a crowd that large emerging from a half-hour musical extravaganza all at once.

That means as long as you avoid the end of the show, you are about to enjoy a restroom that will feel practically empty.

Conservation Station Restrooms

How many Disney World bathrooms have their own train? OK, technically, the Wildlife Express train is delivering you to the entire Conservation Station, not just the bathroom. You’d be forgiven for forgetting that, though, because these are some of the nicest restrooms at Disney World.

They’re bright, colourful, clean, never busy (that I have seen) and downright educational, with animal trivia in the stalls, and answers over by the sinks to make sure everybody washes their hands!

Companion washroom facilities are available in Disney’s Animal Kingdom at:

  • Flame Tree Barbecue Companion Restroom
  • Harambe Theatre Companion Restroom
  • Conservation Station Companion Restroom

Best Bathrooms at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Toy Story Land Restrooms

Possibly the most colorful Disney World bathroom, inside and out, these bathrooms have a good capacity and serve as a vital migration corridor in both directions between two of the biggest draws in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The spot is either preparing grizzled veterans of the conflict with the First Order to relax with some Alien Swirling Saucers or vice versa. There’s certainly high traffic, but it’s a necessary stop on your journey.

Black Spire Outpost Courtyard Restrooms

After decades of Star Wars fandom asking the musical question, “how do you go to the bathroom in space?” the answer was hinted at in the first episode of The Mandalorian with mildly horrifying references to “the back-tube.”

Thankfully, there has been no effort to incorporate this into the restrooms in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The Black Spire washrooms are just grotty enough from the outside not to break the illusion of a world on the Outer Rim, but inside are clean, simple, and accommodating.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Companion Restrooms

Companion washroom facilities are available in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at:

  • Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Companion Restroom
  • Pixar Plaza Companion Restroom
  • ABC Sound Studio Companion Restroom
  • Toy Story Land Companion Restroom
  • Black Spire Outpost Courtyard Companion Restroom
  • Black Spire Outpost Market Companion Restroom
  • Hollywood Tower Hotel Companion Restroom
  • Grand Avenue Companion Restroom

Best Bathrooms at EPCOT

The American Adventure Restrooms

Some of the attributes that make The American Adventure a great show also make the bathroom that serves it a quality experience. Excellent air-conditioning, and a location halfway through your journey around World Showcase, when a little break would be most appreciated.

Like the Festival of the Lion King, this restroom is intended to serve a large-capacity theater show. As long as your arrival doesn’t coincide with the end of the presentation, you will never even approach full capacity in this lovely, always-clean washroom.

Imagination! Restrooms

The Hive-Mind of the Internet does not often agree on anything with as near-unanimity as it does with its love for this bathroom. Some adore the theming, which has missed a few updates, particularly in the music department. Even if you are too newly minted a Disney Family to be passionate about old-timey EPCOT design, you will be a fan of the nearly always deserted state of this bathroom.

EPCOT Companion Restrooms

Companion washroom facilities are available in EPCOT at:

  • The American Adventure Companion Restroom
  • France Companion Restroom
  • World Discovery Companion Restroom
  • Germany Companion Restroom
  • The Land 1st Floor Companion Restroom
  • Morocco Companion Restroom
  • Norway Companion Restroom
  • Spaceship Earth East Companion Restroom
  • World Nature Companion Restroom,
  • CommuniCore Hall Companion Restroom.

Best Bathrooms at Magic Kingdom

Restrooms near “it’s a small world”

That’s what Disney’s map calls them. We prefer “Rapunzel’s Enchanted Bathrooms.” They are also frequently called The Tangled Toilets. It is, bar none, the most delightful theming you will ever see in a bathroom, especially if you love the film Tangled.

It is a high-traffic area, located at a pinch point from Liberty Square into Fantasyland. As a result it is a busy washroom, and the theming, which spills out into the surrounding area, leads to some traffic jams, but the decor is well worth it, especially at night when the lanterns are illuminated.

Adventureland Breezeway Restrooms

Location, location, location! This “breezeway” between the heart of Adventureland and beautiful downtown Frontierland always sees a lot of traffic back and forth for us, resulting in multiple stops at this restroom each visit. The breezeway itself is covered, giving those who finished their visit to the privy first the chance to get out of the sun while they wait for the others.

Magic Kingdom Companion Restrooms

Companion washroom facilities are available in Magic Kingdom at:

  • Bayou Restroom
  • City Hall Companion Restrooms
  • Companion Restroom near “it’s a small world”
  • Enchanted Forest Companion Restroom
  • Fantasyland Railroad Station Companion Restroom
  • Magic Kingdom First Aid Companion Restroom
  • Pirates of the Caribbean Companion Restroom
  • Rockettower Plaza Stage Companion Restroom
  • TRON Lightcycle / Run Companion Restroom
  • Pinocchio Village Haus Companion Restroom

Next time you have the opportunity to test-drive a Disney World bathroom or twelve, take a moment to appreciate the care that went into the placement and design of these bio-breakrooms to make guests comfortable and bring Disney magic into a place you might never have imagined before.
