Cool down on a hot, sunny Disney World day by grabbing a treat at Sunshine Tree Terrace. This Adventureland quick-service stand is home to two beloved pieces of Disney World history: the iconic Dole Whip and the original Orange Bird.

If you love the tropical-inspired goodness that is a Dole Whip soft-serve or float, this is a great place to head. While you won’t find the classic pineapple flavor at Sunshine Tree Terrace, you will find a whole host of other fun flavors – including orange and orange cream, a vanilla and orange blend.

And if you’re an Orange Bird fan, this is where you can spot the little cutie. He’s hanging out on the restaurant’s sign. However, if you want a real treat, ask a Cast Member to see the original Orange Bird hanging out inside the terrace on a crate of oranges.

Sunshine Tree Terrace Location

You can find Sunshine Tree Terrace in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland, next to Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen and near the Swiss Family Treehouse. If you’re entering Adventureland from the Hub, it’ll be one of the first spots you encounter on the right.

Sunshine Tree Terrace doesn’t offer entrées, but it does offer snacks – and you can use your Disney Dining Plan snack credits here. Pop by to grab a float, a cup of soft serve, or another beverage as a snack if you’re using the plan.

Advance Dining Reservations

Neither full restaurant nor table-service restaurant, Sunshine Tree Terrace doesn’t offer advance dining reservations (ADRs). You can either walk right up to the stand to place your order or use Disney World’s handy Mobile Order service to skip the line.

Is Sunshine Tree Terrace Kid-Friendly?

Sunshine Tree Terrace is absolutely kid-friendy. I mean, what kids don’t enjoy ice cream?! Dole Whip may be slightly different in its soft serve form, but if your children are fans of cool and frosty sweet treats, this is a great place to take a break and enjoy a snack at any age (even my one-year-old loves a Dole Whip!)
