Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is one of the moderate resort options at Walt Disney World, offering an expansive property with Southwestern theming. The property’s theming blends inspiration from Spanish, Mexican, and Southwestern American cultures, divided into four distinct areas. You have the Casitas, Ranchos, Cabanas, and Gran Destino Tower, the latter of which is a 15-story tower on property.
Because of its amenities and moderate pricing, Coronado Springs is a popular pick among visitors. We’ll be sharing a full room tour of a standard room in the Ranchos section of the resort.
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Room Tour
At Disney’s Coronado Springs, there are the four possible sections to stay in: Casitas, Ranchos, Cabanas, and Gran Destino Tower. Gran Destino is its own enclosed space, not dissimilar from deluxe resort accommodations. The rooms at Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas are more towards what you’d expect from Disney World moderate resorts. There are dozens of separate buildings throughout the resort, with two to three levels of rooms.
Each of the rooms opens from the outside, with a standard room that will sleep up to two or three adults (though in Casitas, there are suites as well). You can choose from a standard room, preferred room, water view, or one with a King Bed instead of two Queen Beds.
Standard Room Tour
The standard room we stayed in came with two Queen Beds, along with hardwood floors, and sliding doors blocking off a bathroom.
Across from the beds was a large desk area, complete with a TV, and shelves with a coffee maker, mini fridge, and drawers. The large space had plenty of room to hold everything a family needs, and I loved that there was space underneath each of the beds to store suitcases and bags so they were out of the way. I was personally staying at the resort for work, so was thrilled to have such a large space to work at during my trip.

Throughout the room you’ll find plenty of on-theme decorations, with portraits of The Three Caballeros throughout that fit well with the inspiration of Coronado Springs.

Having stayed at a value resort the previous night, I was especially taken by how much larger the bathroom seemed. Separated by sliding doors, you have a large vanity, cabinet space, and even a closet for storing your things. There were two sinks to get ready, and an expansive mirror. The vanity portion of the bathroom is also closed off from the toilet and shower, so multiple people can be getting ready at once in the morning.

Coronado Springs Review
Overall, I was incredibly impressed by the Coronado Springs room. This was my first time staying at the resort, and I loved the theming and the size of the rooms which I feel would be great for a smaller family to stay in. However, the one thing I would recommend keeping in mind if you’ll be staying at the hotel is the sheer size. This resort is simply gigantic, so big that there are multiple bus stops in an internal bus loop. For me, getting to places like the pool or dining from Ranchos was a particularly long walk, especially after spending a long day in the parks.
If you are traveling with younger kids, I’d recommend bringing your stroller or even a stroller wagon for the areas around the resort to get to where you need to go (just remember, stroller wagons are not actually allowed in the parks). But, if you are okay with the more expansive property and the bus-only transportation option, I found Coronado Springs to be a particularly wonderful, relaxing place to stay at Walt Disney World.
