Fast facts and details about the show Zootopia: Better Zoogether! located in Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.
The Tree of Life has a brand-new story! After years of buzzing bugs and that infamous stink bug moment (you know the one), It’s Tough to Be a Bug said goodbye to make room for something fresh, furry, and oh-so-Zootopian.

The Preshow
Before heading into the main theater, guests enter a “wild” waiting area filled with nods to the world of Zootopia. Look closely at the posters—these are hilarious animal-themed parodies of Broadway hits and blockbuster films. (Keep an eye out for “The Mane Event” and “Rodentia Rocks.”)
You’ll catch a short video message from Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, explaining that you’re about to attend a special “Zootopia Day” celebration—where animals from every neighborhood are coming together to prove that life is better zoogether! Grab your 3D glasses (aka Carrot Vision) and get ready to head inside.
Accessibility
Zootopia: Better Zoogether is designed with accessibility in mind. Guests may remain in their wheelchairs, motorized scooters, or ECVs throughout the entire show.
Reflective Captioning, Assistive Listening, and translation devices are available—just stop by Guest Relations or ask a Cast Member before entering the Tree of Life Theater.
Because the experience includes 4D effects like air bursts, water sprays, and seat vibrations, guests with service animals should check with a Cast Member for guidance before boarding.
On-Ride Photo
There are no on-ride photos or videos during Zootopia: Better Zoogether. However, this is one of the most detailed and photogenic spots in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, so don’t forget to grab a picture outside the Tree of Life afterward. You might even notice new carvings inspired by Zootopia characters like Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.
Ride Tips
- Arrive early or use Lightning Lane: The theater can fill quickly on busy days, especially since this is a brand-new attraction.
- Sit toward the middle: For the best 3D and 4D effects, choose a seat near the center of the theater.
- Hold onto little ones: Some effects (like bursts of air and sudden sounds) might startle young guests.
- Take a Tree of Life detour: Before or after the show, explore the trails around the Tree of Life—you’ll get amazing up-close views of the carvings and wildlife.
Is Zootopia: Better Zoogether! Kid-Friendly?
Yes! Unlike its buggy predecessor, this show is far more approachable for families with small children. There are no creepy-crawly surprises under the seats this time around.
That said, the show still includes some loud noises, flashing lights, and unexpected effects that might cause younger kids to jump. If your little ones love Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and the world of Zootopia, they’ll likely adore this experience. Just be prepared to hold a hand or two during the more “action-packed” moments.
Will Zootopia: Better Zoogether! Cause Motion Sickness?
Most guests won’t experience motion sickness during this show. While it’s a 4D attraction, it’s not a simulator—so there’s no spinning or motion-platform movement. The only sensations come from special effects like mist, puffs of air, and gentle seat vibrations.
If you’re sensitive to flashing lights or sudden bursts of movement, you may prefer sitting closer to the back of the theater, where effects feel slightly milder.
