Tiana is taking up residence in Disney Parks with an attraction of her very own! Inspired by the Walt Disney Studios animated film The Princess and the Frog, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a log flume ride that brings the beloved character to life in entirely new ways.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a reimagining of a beloved former attraction at both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park: Splash Mountain. Both versions of Splash Mountain closed in 2023 to make way for Tiana’s new attraction, though Imagineers have repurposed the existing ride tracks and overall structures.
So, while the exterior might look a little familiar, you’ll be in for a brand-new attraction experience when you ride for the first time! And Disney just shared a look at what you can expect in the form of a full ride-through of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
What It’s Like to Ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will feature a storyline that picks up after the events of the 2009 film. Guests will get to see Tiana’s very own business in action; she’s opened her own successful restaurants, Tiana’s Palace, and is working to create Tiana’s Foods, an employee-owned cooperative.
So, as you take a trip down to the bayou with Tiana (and other familiar faces from The Princess and the Frog like Eudora, Naveen, and Louis), you’ll see her cooking talents as well as the talents of her local community on full display. You’ll travel inside an aging salt mine, which has become the home of Tiana’s Foods. From gardens filled with vegetables and herbs to newly-created spices for Tiana’s very own recipes, it’ll be an immersive journey into how Tiana’s dreams are coming to life.
Oh, and did we mention it’s all happening during Mardi Gras? Yep, there will be plenty of New Orleans-inspired festivity throughout the attraction!

Want to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure yourself? The attraction opens at Magic Kingdom in Disney World on June 28, 2024.
The Disneyland version of this attraction doesn’t have an opening date just yet – however, you can expect it to open in late 2024, based on the latest information from Disney.
