What is the best cheeseburger in Disney World? It’s a category with some tough competition, with no shortage of spots to grab a delicious cheeseburger in Disney World, whether at quick-service joints, table-service restaurants, or even the fanciest eateries on the property.
We brought in two Dad’s Guide to WDW experts, Jodi Spasovski and Gregg Taylor, to share their thoughts!
Gregg’s Choice for Best Cheeseburger: Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
The cheeseburger is America’s gift to the world. Glorious in its simplicity. Hot, tasty beef served in an entirely edible wrapper of soft, white bread and held together by the delicious glue that is American cheese.
Because we are talking about the best cheeseburger at Disney World, this experience is about more than just the burger. It has to be close to the action, and the fun shouldn’t stop because it’s lunchtime. For all of these reasons, my venue of choice is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, located in the heart of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here, seated in a replica roadster, bathed in perpetual twilight and the glow of vintage sci-fi movie clips, you can enjoy the classic American Burger!

We may not know what makes the “Signature blend of beef” so good or just what is in the house-made burger sauce, but we approve on both fronts. The applewood-smoked bacon proves that nothing goes with meat quite like more meat (though there is a Flying Saucer Impossible Burger as a plant-based option!), and the rest of the burger keeps it simple with lettuce, tomato and American cheese, all on a brioche bun that’s just a little on the sweet side. This is a cheeseburger experience that both sustains and entertains, and it’s my pick for the best cheeseburger in Disney World!
Jodi’s Choice for Best Cheeseburger: The BOATHOUSE
I absolutely love a good plant-based burger, but there’s some serious competition for the best cheeseburger in Disney World. My pick would be over at The BOATHOUSE in Disney Springs. Let’s be honest: Disney Springs is a foodie’s dream, with many dining options. And let’s not forget the fantastic ambiance of strolling around, carefree, without a schedule, while taking in all the sights and sounds of this vibrant place.
My venue of choice is the BOATHOUSE, not just for the food. I mean, where else can you ride in a Vintage Amphicar? A one-of-a-kind experience you can’t find anywhere else on Disney property.

After your boat ride, head to the restaurant (request the patio!) and try their Classic Cheeseburger. It’s been voted one of the top cheeseburgers at Disney, so you won’t be disappointed with your choice. Don’t let the basic name of this burger fool you. It’s a top pick among all burgers in Disney World for a reason. The BOATHOUSE also offers breathtaking views of Disney’s Springs waterfront, and if you time your dining experience just right, you’ll even hear the sounds of a piano battle being played out.
Alternative Pick: D-Luxe Burger
To Gregg’s point, the ambiance is just as important as the food. In my opinion, Disney Springs offers the perfect setting to enjoy a classic meal like a cheeseburger. If you are looking for a plant-based option, head to D-Luxe Burger. It’s a fantastic choice for a less meaty burger and a much quicker option. You can place a mobile order if you aren’t feeling the whole sit-down meal vibe.
