Attraction Overview

Visitors to Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Paris find themselves at the heart of what guests in some other Disney parks can only dream of – a real castle to explore! This Sleeping Beauty Castle still offers the most direct route between Main Street U.S.A. and Fantasyland, but this castle is more open and allows visitors to do much more than walk through. Families can pick their own route through winding castle staircases revealing intricate carvings and ornate stained glass windows that celebrate the history of the castle’s famous inhabitants. From the rooftop spires, explorers will discover stunning views of the magical lands on either side of the castle. Step out of the gates on the Main St. U.S.A. side and step to the right and you will find yourself in the catacombs below the castle – be careful not to wake the dragon that slumbers there!

Queue and Storyline

The inside of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland park is an open-ended environment that families can explore in a self-directed manner, choosing what comes next as the stunning environment sparks their imaginations. Climbing the stairs will bring you into ornate interiors, worthy of exploring at your own pace, and stepping outside leads to magical views amongst the rooftop spires. In the cavern beneath the castle, explorers will be thrilled by the massive form of an animatronic dragon, which looks like it could at any moment awake from its slumber and soar high above this magical destination.
