Not many bars and lounges are family-friendly, but at Disney World, it’s totally possible to find one – and Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is a favorite for exactly this reason. Sure, it’s one cool bar inspired by Jock Lindsey, easygoing pilot for Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark. But it’s also home to its own unique backstory, plenty of high-flying concoctions, and fare that suits both adults and kids alike.
According to this bar’s backstory, Jock Lindsey and Indianana Jones stumbled upon Disney Springs back in 1938. Lindsey loved the town’s natural springs and bought a piece of waterfront property, eventually settling down and building an airplane hangar, air tower, and runway here for members of The Society of Explorers and Adventurers to make visiting easy. Now, his home base is a popular bar.
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Location
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is located in The Landing at Disney Springs. It sits right on the waterfront, near Wine Bar George.
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Menu
At its heart, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is, well, a bar. But it’s also a restaurant, so while cocktails are on the menu here, so too are plenty of other culinary creations. The food here is family-friendly, making it a great place to grab a drink even if you have kids in tow.
The food runs quite a gamut from familiar and kid-friendly (with options like Queso Fundido and the cheesy Palawan Volcano Temple Dip) to more uniquely adult (like the Snakebite Bao Buns or Medjoul Date Flatbread).
Cocktails and beer are obviously some of the standouts on the menu here, and there are plenty inspired by Raiders of the Lost Ark. The Air Pirate’s Mule, Fountain of Youth, and Shorty’s Singapore Sling all speak to the bar’s theming. But at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, you’ll also find some creative and fun nonalcoholic options too, like the Antidote and Poisonless Dart.

Disney Dining Plan
Good news: You can use credits from the Disney Dining Plan at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. However, only the Disney Dining Plan is accepted here; you can’t use the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan.
It’ll cost you one table service meal credit per person to dine here.
Advance Dining Reservations
While Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is a popular spot to grab a drink or bite, it unfortunately doesn’t accept advance dining reservations (ADRs). It’s first come, first served like many of Disney World’s other bars and lounges, so you’ll want to plan ahead if you’re hoping to experience this well-themed dining spot.
Is Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Kid-Friendly?
Like any bar or lounge, it’s safe to say Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar isn’t the most kid-friendly place to take the family. But unlike other bars and lounges, this one does actually have more to offer kids. Not only is the theming more exciting and immersive, but it’s also got plenty of food on the menu and some fun nonalcoholic drinks that can make it fun for the whole family.
Families with older school-age, tween, or teen parents are likely to have an enjoyable time at Jock Lindsey’s. Those with younger children, like toddlers and preschoolers, may not enjoy it as much. However, kids are welcome – and there’s enough to see around the bar that it can be engaging, even for non-drinkers in your party.
