In December 2024, Disney Vacation Club welcomed its newest property with the opening of Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The new accommodations offer tropical theming (with quite a few nods to Moana!), with Studios, as well as 1- and 2-Bedroom Villas, and a new 2-Bedroom Villa Penthouse.

Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Overview

If you love the tropical vibes of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you’ll want to check out the adjacent Island Tower. Inspired by the original concept art for the Polynesian, the beautiful 268-room tower offers spacious accommodations, and home-like amenities for families.

One of the most unique features you’ll find at the Island Tower four tropical terrace gardens inspired by the islands of Polynesia, accessible on floors three through six. Each garden offers a peaceful retreat, with stunning views of the surrounding area (including superb views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks).

Room Types

• Duo Studios: Studio that can fit up to two guests, with a pull-down bed that can be stored away for more space. Includes an outdoor patio, kitchenette, and Moana theming.
• Deluxe Studios: Sleep up to four, with a Queen bed and pull-down bed. Comes with an outdoor patio, and a kitchenette with a dishwasher.
• 1-Bedroom Villas: Sleeps up to five, with a separate living area and bedroom. Comes with two bathrooms, an outdoor patio, full kitchen, washer, and dryer.
• 2-Bedroom Villas: Sleeps up to nine. Includes everything a 1-Bedroom Villa does, as well as an additional bedroom and a third bathroom.
• 2-Bedroom Penthouse Villas: Sleeps up to eight, comes with two bedrooms, a massive living area, full kitchen, huge outdoor patio, washer and dryer, and incredible views of Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom, or Disney’s Oak Trail and Magnolia Golf Courses.

Transportation

• Monorail: The resort is on the Magic Kingdom monorail loop, offering direct access to the Magic Kingdom. You can also walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center to get a monorail ride to EPCOT.
• Boat Transportation: Take a boat to Magic Kingdom.
• Buses: You can take a bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney Springs, or the water parks.

• Wailulu Bar & Grill: Offering both indoor and outdoor seating, the newest dining addition serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a walk-up pool bar and grill.
