Have you ever wanted to travel to a galaxy far, far away? When the land opened in 2019, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge redefined how immersive a land can be. Step inside, and you’ll find yourself on the planet of Batuu, where you can side with the Resistance or First Order and get the chance to see some familiar faces.
In this land, you can expect specialty shops, out-of-this-world dining, and some of the most incredible attractions you can find throughout Disney World. We’ll be taking you through everything you can find at Galaxy’s Edge.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Disney calls the land Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but the base you are in is called Black Spire Outpost. The name Black Spire comes from the big, foreboding spires that overlook Galaxy’s Edge. Black Spire Outpost is the largest settlement on the planet Batuu, which is the last stop before the Outer Rim and Wild Space. It’s home to some of the most notorious and colorful characters in all of the galaxy.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Attractions
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run: Step onboard the Falcon, where you are sent on a special mission by Hondo Ohnaka. The simulator attraction allows you to take on the role of pilot, gunner, or engineer as you attempt to gain as many credits as possible.
- Rise of the Resistance: One of the most innovative rides ever built in Disney World, this 18-minute ride puts you in the middle of a battle between the Resistance the First Order. The massive set combines a walkthrough attraction, trackless dark ride, and motion simulator.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Dining
The food and drink in Galaxy’s Edge are part of the immersive experience. It’s meant to seem “galactic.” While there are no table service restaurants, there is an immersive lounge (more on Oga’s in a moment), as well as snack stops and a quick-service restaurant.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Table Service Restaurants
- Oga’s Cantina: While not a typical table service restaurant, this highly immersive lounge does require a reservation, as it’s a hot ticket spot in Disney World. Themed to a cantina from Star Wars, you can pick up a variety of premade themed alcoholic beverages (with non-alcoholic options), as well as small bites.Â
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Quick-Service Restaurants
- Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo: This quick-service spot is the primary restaurant in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’s located in a cargo hanger with a restaurant inside. Here you can pick up food like the Batuuan Beef Pot Roast, Smoked Kaadu Pork Ribs, and Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Snack Spots, Carts, and More
- The Milk Stand: Order Green Milk and Blue Milk, with both non-alcoholic and alcoholic varieties.
- Ronto Roasters: This spot features chicken and pork wraps, Turkey Jerky, and a non-alcoholic beverage called a Tatooine Sunset.
- Kat Saka’s Kettle:Â Order Buttered Blue Grains or the sweet and spicy Outpost Mix of popcorn.
- Coke Stand: Pick up Coke products sold in Star Wars-themed bottles.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Entertainment
With such an immersive land, the entertainment options are really endless. You’ve been plopped down into the middle of your own Star Wars story, so expect to see plenty of characters and interactions. While many of the character instances are random (more on that in a moment), some planned parts of Batuu entertainment include:
- First Order Searches for the Resistance:Â Head over towards First Order Cargo where Stormtroopers and Kylo Ren will be out looking for members of the Resistance.
- Batuu Bounty Hunters:Â If you have a MagicBand+, you can participate in Batuu Bounty Hunters. Head over towards the job board, located across the way from Savi’s Workshop towards the Coke Stand. There, you’ll be assined a bounty. As you search for your bounty, you’ll feel vibrations and lights on your MagicBand+ to lead you down the right path.

There are tons of characters roaming around Galaxy’s Edge. Just a few you may see include:

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Shopping
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has the most diverse shopping opportunities anywhere. Yes, you can find normal t-shirts, clothing, toys, and nik-naks, but you can also build a lightsaber and a droid (yes, a real working droid).
- Droid Depot: Sign up ahead of time for a time slot to build your own droid. You can build a BB-8, R2-D2, or come up with your own creation. The droids work and have a radio controller included. You pick your body, your head and parts then go put them together with the supplied tools.
- Savi’s Workshop: Build a lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop. You get to design the hilt and choose the color of the lightsaber blade. Your “Gatherer” will help you through this 20-minute experience. You’ll want to book your slot ahead of time.
- Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities: Want to see a collection of some of the oldest antiques in the galaxy? Stop by Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities and check out antiques from both the Jedi and the Sith.
- The Creature Stall: Take home your own intergalactic alien at this shop located in the Marketplace section.
- Todarian Toymaker: Get a Porg plush, a TaunTaun rocking horse, or even a deck of Sabacc cards at Todarian Toymaker in the Marketplace.
- Resistance Supply and First Order Cargo: First Order Cargo has all the gear you might need to show your allegiance to the First Order, while Resistance Supply (located near Rise of the Resistance) has gear for Resistance fighters.
