Attraction Overview
Beyond the queue for Big Thunder Mountain and the delicious smells of the Cowboy Cookout restaurant, there is a place to put the hustle and bustle of Frontierland behind you for a few minutes. At the Frontierland Playground, you can enjoy watching your Mouseketeers burn some energy on climbing and play structures styled after traditional elements of First Nations’ culture. This is not a large play area, but if your children have been spending most of their day waiting in queues, a visit to Frontierland Playground may be just what they need. There are a number of climbing structures inspired by traditional Native American dwellings, springed wooden horses to ride, several slides that are stylized canoes and rock wall-style hand and foot holds for getting back up in a hurry to slide again. And again, and again, and again!
Queue and Storyline
The Frontierland Playground has the best kind of queue you can have – none at all! The storyline shifts constantly and as quickly as the imaginations of the children and tweens making use of the climbing equipment and slides. The theming of the playground structures is inspired by traditional Native American settlements and encourages active, physical play.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are accepted.
On-Ride Photo
There is no “On-Ride” Photopass photo for the Frontier Playground but it is an excellent place to take some group photos of your own!
Is Frontierland Playground Kid-Friendly?
Frontierland Playground was literally made for kids and tweens with imaginations running overtime and bodies that need a break from standing in queues. Parents and Grandparents will also enjoy the opportunity to rest on a nearby bench and watch their littles burn off some energy.
Motion Sickness
It is difficult to imagine anyone would be affected by motion sickness while playing at the Frontierland Playground.
