You may know Earl of Sandwich as a delicious quick-service restaurant home to “The World’s Greatest Hot Sandwich!” but there’s actually another way to enjoy those standout sandwiches: You can sit down and enjoy them as a full table-service meal at Earl of Sandwich Tavern.
This new table-service concept from Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney offers a larger, more extensive menu that does include sandwiches, but also salads, burgers, pasta, and more, plus a full bar.
Earl of Sandwich Tavern Location
Earl of Sandwich Tavern is attached to Earl of Sandwich, the quick-service restaurant. Earl of Sandwich is currently the first building of the Downtown Disney District you’ll encounter as you leave Disneyland or California Adventure and head toward the trams.
You’ll find the Tavern on the right-hand side of the building if you’re facing it.
Note: Earl of Sandwich Tavern’s current location is only a temporary one. This restaurant is scheduled to close eventually, when the restaurant moves into a two-story building deeper into Downtown Disney and unveils a new table-service concept called Carnaby Tavern.
Earl of Sandwich Tavern Menu
Like we mentioned above, Earl of Sandwich Tavern takes the familiar Earl of Sandwich menu and expands upon it. Sandwiches are served, but you’ll also find plenty of other dishes here.
All of the food at Earl of Sandwich Tavern is meant to be familiar and classic, meaning it’s a great place for the whole family. There are options for picky eaters (both young and old) plus a variety of signature cocktails, beer, and wine choices for diners over 21.

Advance Dining Reservations
While you may not be able to make advance dining reservations (ADRs) for the quick-service Earl of Sandwich, you can do so for Earl of Sandwich Tavern. Here, you can reserve a table at a set time up to 60 days in advance for the outdoor dining “room.”
Earl of Sandwich Tavern is popular, but not so popular that reservations are impossible to get. You can often find reservations available in the weeks and days leading up to your visit, though Friday and weekend time slots typically disappear first.
Is Earl of Sandwich Tavern Kid-Friendly?
Featuring a comfort-food-filled menu and an entirely outdoor (but totally shaded!) dining area, Earl of Sandwich Tavern is quite kid-friendly.
The casual atmosphere of the quick-service restaurant certainly carries over to the Tavern, and it’s a great place to dine with the whole family when you don’t want to worry about complicated food, choices for picky eaters, or somewhat cranky kids. The patio capture the noise of Downtown Disney passersby, so no one will bat an eye at little ones who may be a little wiggly or loud.
