Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After Overview
The show Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After is located on Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, in the former home of the Lightning McQueen Racing Academy. For this show, the story brings guests into the realm of the Magic Mirror. There, dozens of Disney Villains are trapped, and they want the Magic Mirror to reveal the truth of who was the most unfairly treated of all!
Guests will witness Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent step forward, with songs and speeches to state their case. At the end of the show, the audience can vote (by way of applause) on which of the villains is most deserving of the title, and that villain will stay onstage for the show’s new original number.

As with all Disney stage shows, the theater environment is very much intended for there not to be a bad seat in the house! The stage is rather expansive with screens and decor covering the full length. The characters also move around quite a bit on stage, so there will always be a chance for you to see them, no matter where you’re sitting!
Is Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After Kid-Friendly?
As a villain-based show, it’s safe to say that how your kid reacts will likely depend on how they react to the Disney Villains in general. The show itself is not particularly frightening, with plenty of music and fun moments as the villains come out. However, if you have a younger kid who finds characters like Maleficent or Cruella De Vil frightening, chances are this won’t be the show for them. While the characters won’t be directly interacting one-on-one with the kids, there are clips from villains in Disney films, loud noises, and an emphasis on villainy that is going to depend kid-to-kid.
For example, I have a toddler who was not into meeting the Evil Queen at Story Book Dining. However, from afar, she thought the Evil Queen was the best thing ever, and only got frightened when we got up close. For that reason, I know she’d likely be fine with this show, as she enjoys the villains – from a distance!
