Your guide and overview to Bar Riva, the pool bar and dining spot located at Disney’s Riviera Resort in Disney World.
While the words “pool bar” might make you second guess a restaurant, we’re here to tell you- don’t let it. Bar Riva at Disney’s Riviera Resort is far from your typical pool bar that only offers drinks and snacks.
This European-inspired location allows you to sip on some delicious and refreshing cocktails while also enjoying amazing pool views and fantastic full-sized meals. While some people often overlook this joint, it’s one of my favorite hidden gem locations at Disney for a relaxed, low-key dinner.
Bar Riva Location
Wondering where this hidden gem is located? First, this requires you to go to Disney’s Riviera Resort. If you are entering the resort from the lobby, you’ll need to head towards the left of the resort, past Le Petit Cafe. Head to that elevator bank and take it down to the bottom level. Then, you’ll want to head outside and walk past Primo Piatto and make a left. You’ll then see the sign for Bar Riva. If you take the Skyliner over to the resort, you’ll want to walk to the other side of the resort and find the main feature pool and it’s right across from there.
From the beautifully painted mural that lines the side wall in the restaurant to the blue tiled floor, there is so much to enjoy at this restaurant. The mural features a painting of the Riviera Resort on a beautiful European beach and features boats and more that lend to that Mediterranean feel. While this restaurant is considered a casual dining location, it is not a quick-service location. This location offers table-service meals where you either sit at a table or the bar and your server takes your order.
Pro Tip: If you spend the day at EPCOT and enjoy lots of delicious food there, this is a great option to enjoy a lighter dinner with all the flavor and feels.
Bar Riva Menu
Bar Riva’s menu is all inspired by the Mediterranean like its surrounding decor. While the menu reflects some classics like burgers and chicken strips, you’ll find other delicious items that offer a flair of the Riviera. And diners are not limited to just ordering off of the Bar Riva menu. If you aren’t seeing anything you like on the menu, ask your server for a menu of items at Primo Piatto, the quick-service location that shares a kitchen with Bar Riva.

Disney Dining Plan
The pool lounge does accept the Disney Dining Plan, where you can use table service credits. While it is a great pool bar with delicious food, you may want to price out how much you are actually spending here for whether it’s worth that table service credit versus another restaurant.
Advance Dining Reservations
Bar Riva is a pool lounge, so it does not require an Advance Dining Reservation to get a seat. The bar and dining tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for guests. Special attire isn’t required, and you are able to come as you are as you enjoy delicious Mediterranean-inspired drinks and eats.
Is Bar Riva Kid-Friendly?
The pool lounge offers both a bar section and dining area, meaning it’s a perfect spot for all ages. They offer a full menu of items that kids can enjoy, like cheeseburgers, pasta, chicken, and more. It’s a great spot to enjoy a bite to eat (and a cool drink!) for a family spending time at the nearby pool.
