Refreshment Outpost

by | Dec 31, 2025 | Dining, Walt Disney World

Located along the World Showcase promenade between China and Germany, Refreshment Outpost is an open-air food stop inspired by colorful African market stalls, serving frozen beverages, festival-exclusive snacks, and rotating seasonal offerings. While not tied to a single pavilion, this location functions as a vibrant midway refreshment stop in the heart of World Showcase.

Refreshment Outpost Location

Refreshment Outpost sits on the lagoon pathway between the China and Germany pavilions. Its shaded seating, walk-up counter, and frequent festival tie-ins make it a natural break point for guests touring the full World Showcase loop. This spot is especially easy to find during EPCOT’s festivals thanks to its signature drums, painted market stalls, and classic Coca-Cola signage.

Refreshment Outpost Menu

The menu generally features frozen beverages, hot dogs with specialty toppings, soft-serve treats, and rotating festival selections. During EPCOT’s Food & Wine, Flower & Garden, Festival of the Arts, and Festival of the Holidays, Refreshment Outpost often debuts limited-time snacks and drinks available only for the season. While not a full meal location, it offers a reliable lineup of refreshing slushes and savory grab-and-go bites when the promenade heat sets in.

Advance Dining Reservations

Refreshment Outpost does not accept Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs). All service is walk-up counter style, and seating is limited to nearby shaded tables and standing areas along the pathway.

Is Refreshment Outpost Kid-Friendly?

Yes. Refreshment Outpost is an easy stop for families in need of a cool drink, simple snack, or shaded rest between pavilions. Children often enjoy the vibrant slush colors, soft-serve flavors, and the playful drum area nearby. While offerings vary and can lean adventurous during festivals, the location remains one of the most stroller-friendly pauses in World Showcase.
