Kimonos is an intimate, award‑winning table service restaurant that serves Japanese sushi at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. It combines beautifully crafted sushi, traditional small plates like gyoza and Kobe beef satay, and a rich ambiance accentuated by dark teakwood décor and colorful hanging kimonos. In the evenings, the atmosphere livens up with nightly karaoke, making it both a dining and entertainment experience – one that’s particularly tailored to adults.

Kimonos Menu
Kimonos is only open for dinner, but should you stop by, you’ll find the menu offers a refined and modern take on authentic Japanese cuisine, with a strong focus on sushi.
The menu features an assortment of maki rolls (like California and Shrimp Tempura Rolls), signature rolls (like a Dragon Roll and Spicy Rainbow Roll), nigiri, sashimi, and torched rolls. However, you’ll also find larger dishes available, like wagyu beef, chicken katsu, and kalbi short rib.
While families are certainly welcome at this table service dining spot, Kimonos is more oriented toward adult dining and ambiance, especially as it transitions into evening karaoke and lounge mode. That said, if your kids enjoy simple options like steamed rice, edamame, or even shrimp tempura, they may find what’s on the menu appetizing. Just note: There’s no dedicated kids’ menu.
Note: Kimonos is a Signature Dining experience, which means it is more elevated than your typical table service restaurant. As a result, guests will want to dress accordingly, per the restaurant’s website, and wear clothing that “respects the restaurant’s sophisticated and upscale aesthetic.”

Disney Dining Plan
Kimonos doesn’t accept the Disney Dining Plan, so you cannot use credits from either the Disney Dining Plan or the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan here.
Additionally, it’s important to note that restaurants like Kimonos at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel also do not accept MagicBands, Disney Gift Cards, or any other Disney stored value cards (like Disney Dining Cards) as a form of payment.
Advance Dining Reservations
Kimonos exists off the My Disney Experience app (and Disney World website), so if you’re hoping to make advance dining reservations (ADRs), it’s slightly trickier than for other table service restaurants. You can either use Open Table to snag a reservation or try calling the restaurant directly.
Since Kimonos is only open for dinner service, reservations can be in-demand during peak times of the year. So, make sure to plan ahead and book those reservations in advance.
Is Kimonos Kid-Friendly?
Kimonos is known for its fine-dining ambiance and sophisticated feel, and both the atmosphere and menu are tailored toward adult diners. So, while children are welcome at this restaurant, the focus on sushi and Japanese small plates like gyoza, Kobe beef satay, and tempura make it an option that’s likely not ideal for very young kids and picky eaters.
Additionally, since this is a Signature Dining experience, it may not be the best bet for kids who are wiggly or very energetic in restaurants. You may want to save Kimonos for a visit when your kids are older and ready to sit through an elevated dining experience.
