Classic comfort food is a crowd-pleaser for a reason – and if you’re trying to satisfy everyone in your family despite different tastes, The Fountain is a great option. This casual table service restaurant is inspired by American diners, so you’ll find staples like salads, burgers, and sandwiches here, plus plenty of soft-serve ice cream at the counter.
The Fountain Location
The Fountain sits inside the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, making it a convenient stop for those staying at the Dolphin, the nearby Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, or in the EPCOT Resort Area.
The Fountain Menu
Stop by The Fountain for lunch or dinner, and you’ll find plenty of familiar favorites on the menu here. Diner food is the star of the show, so you can expect everything from grilled cheese and tomato soup to Reuben sandwiches – and yes, there are obviously milkshakes, too!
But The Fountain also serves some comfort food from the South. From fish sandwiches to pimento cheese, guests can try some more “local” options that might not appear at every classic diner.
And when it comes to kid-friendly food, there’s plenty to be found here. Picky eaters will easily find all of their favorites, like chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese, making it easy for parents to please varied palates (and kids of all ages).

Disney Dining Plan
Unfortunately, you can’t use credits from any version of the Disney Dining Plan (either the Disney Dining Plan or the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan) at The Fountain.
Additionally, you’ll want to note that you also cannot use MagicBands, Disney Gift Cards, or any other Disney stored value cards (like Disney Dining Cards) here for payment.
Advance Dining Reservations
Although The Fountain is a table service restaurant, you don’t need to make advance dining reservations (ADRs) ahead of your visit. In fact, you won’t find them available on the Disney World website like you would for other on-property restaurants.
You can stop by any time the restaurant is open to grab a bite. Additionally, counter seating tends to be more readily available – so don’t be afraid to stop by for a light snack or a milkshake if you’re interested in something beyond a full sit-down meal.
Is The Fountain Kid-Friendly?
With a casual, diner-inspired setting, no reservations required, and plenty of comfort food on the menu, The Fountain is a very kid-friendly place to dine. Here, parents won’t need to worry about kids being restless or picky in what they’re willing to eat. Sure, ice cream for dinner may not be ideal – but it’s an option, along with picky eater staples like hot dogs and chicken tenders, so you can trust your kids will eat something.
Plus, for parents who are worried about their littlest ones being able to sit through a meal, The Fountain is a great choice. It’s laid-back and open to the rest of the hotel’s public spaces, so no one will bat an eye if you need to get up mid-meal or take the kids out for some wiggles or a cool down.
