Attraction Overview
You know that you are always welcome to visit Andy’s house, where he and his toys construct the most imaginative games out of a full set of accessories and a few “AA” batteries. The towers that line the paths here are built of Tinker Toys, and lit by enormous Christmas tree bulbs, which keep Toy Story Playland festive all year round. You find yourself wedged between the howls of your fellow toys going up and down on the Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop and the screams of the more fearless, roaring to the top of RC Racer. But here you find a gentler game to play, as you join your old pal Slinky Dog as he chases his own behind and very nearly catches it. Welcome to Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin!
Queue and Storyline
The Toy Story Playland area shares a design concept with Toy Story environments in other Disney Parks: You have been shrunk to the size of a toy (Green Army Man at best) and explore an environment constructed by Andy for his toys. In Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin you make your way through a queue built with Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys and into an area defined by the box of a classic “Slinky Dog” game with a retro 50’s design before taking a seat within Slinky Dog himself as he chases his own tail around and around again. There is some up and down included in all of this round and round, but the motion is stable and the speed is constant during the ride, making it quite a tame adventure.

Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin is designated “Fun with little ones”. A transfer from one’s wheelchair is required. A transfer board is available; please speak with a Cast Member. This attraction is not recommended for pregnant women.

Is Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin Kid-Friendly?
Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin is extremely kid-friendly, particularly for littles. Tweens will probably find the experience a bit tame, which is often offset by the minimal wait to ride.
Motion Sickness
I would not say that Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin really spins. Not teacups-style spinning at any rate. Come to think of it, it would be inaccurate to say that Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin exactly “zigzags” either. It does go around in a circle fairly quickly, with a bit of an up-and-down as it does so. If the thought of riding a souped-up carousel activates your motion sensitivities, you may wish to sit this one out, but honestly, I think you’ll be fine.
