I tested out the newest Ergobaby travel stroller, the lightweight Metro 3 Compact Stroller, at Disney World to see how it fared.
As someone who went to Disney World quite a bit pre-kid, I had to relearn the parks the first time I brought my daughter. From where the Baby Care Centers are, to the best quiet places to relax, Disney World was a whole new world for me post-kid.
But one of the biggest factors that can make or break your Disney trip with kids is the stroller you choose to bring. At this point, I’ve tested out a few different strollers at the parks with my now-toddler, and I’m sharing my thoughts on the latest: the Ergobaby Metro 3 Compact Stroller.
Ergobaby Travel Stroller: Metro 3 Compact Overview
The Ergobaby Metro 3 Compact Stroller was launched in March 2025, the latest travel stroller option from the brand. The travel stroller is notable for its ability to fold down to a compact size, one that’s even carry-on approved for most airplane overhead bins. Its easy one-handed folding makes it ideal for on-the-go travel (whether that’s on a plane or getting on a Disney World bus).

The stroller is also appropriate for newborns up to four years old, with the ability to buy an adapter that you can connect a car seat to from various brands such as Cybex, Nuna, Maxi-Cosi, Avionaut, Britax, and Besafe.
The stroller also features a near-flat recline and adjustable footrest, which is ideal for spending a full day in the Disney parks with a toddler.

My Review of the Ergobaby Travel Stroller at Disney World
I have a nearly three-year-old who we’ve taken to Disney World multiple times at this point. And at this point, we’ve tested out a few stroller options on our trips, including our full-size Mockingbird stroller and a Disney-rented stroller. While there have been upsides to each (except for the Disney-rented stroller, never again), the Ergobaby Metro 3 Compact Stroller proved to be one of my favorites in the park for a few reasons.
Compact Design
First and foremost, one of the major factors that sold me on the Ergobaby travel stroller is its compact design. The stroller easily folds down to a very small size, perhaps smaller and lighter than any other travel stroller that I’ve tested. Where this turned out to be most useful was on transportation, such as the bus system and the tram ride from the parking lots.
Having traveled with our full-size stroller, I can tell you it’s incredibly stressful folding it down and hauling it onto the tram. It was so stressful, in fact, that I chose to just walk to the parking lot on our return trip instead of attempting to do it again. With the Ergobaby travel stroller, we were easily able to fold the stroller down, and get it on and off the tram without a full production.
Easy Recline
While I love having a travel stroller with me in the parks, the one downside with some options has been their lack of recline. If we’re planning to spend most of the day in the parks, I want to be able to recline the stroller so my daughter can (attempt) a quick nap.
The Ergobaby travel stroller folded down to a near-flat recline, with the ability to put the footrest up so she can lie back. While it would take a small miracle to be able to get a full nap out of her with some must stimulation surrounding her, by laying her back and putting the shade up, I was able to get her to at least snooze while strolling around World Showcase.
Generous Shade
Another aspect of the Ergobaby travel stroller that I have found is rare with other travel strollers was the generous shade size. The Metro 3 Compact Stroller offers an extendable, UV-protective, and water-resistant canopy that actually provides some shade. Other travel strollers often only come down a small amount, but in the Florida sunshine, it was nice to be able to really provide some darkness.
Not to mention, when there was rain, I was able to extend the canopy down so we wouldn’t be dealing with a soaking wet seat for the rest of the day.
