A guide to Welcome to Starport: A Star Wars Encounter, a character greeting experience available at Disneyland Paris Resort.

An out-of-this-world meeting (and photo-op) with a famous face from the Star Wars universe. Exactly which hero or villain you may meet is based on availability. While Darth Vader is promoted heavily, meetings may include one of Rey, Chewbacca, or Kylo Ren.

Queue and Storyline

Starport announces itself as you approach by the majestic, full-scale X-Wing fighter parked on the roof. Cast Members greet you in Star Tours uniforms, who move you through the corridors of the Starport quickly and lead you into a special chamber where your historic meeting with Lord Vader, or other galactic luminary, is recorded in photographs. Brief, in-character banter will delight fans of the franchise. The doors open to reveal a convenient Photo Pass desk, where your photos may be viewed and purchased before you return to the spaceways.  

Accessibility 

The character experience is wheelchair accessible, and guide and assistance dogs are allowed.

On-Ride Photo

As a character experience, there will be a PhotoPass Photographer available to take your pictures (whether with their own camera or your phone).

Is Starport: A Star Wars Encounter Kid-Friendly?

Starport: A Star Wars Encounter is absolutely kid-friendly. Of course, some kids cry when they meet Santa Claus, so your mileage may vary. Nothing about the encounter is intended to be frightening, and the expressions on young faces are generally astonished rather than afraid. A headshot board at the entrance to the attraction reveals who is waiting to meet you, so appropriate choices can be made by young guests and their families prior to joining the queue.. 

Motion Sickness

Since it’s a character experience, you won’t need to worry about any kind of motion sickness associated with a ride here!
