Ride Tips
Communication is key on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Each guest is assigned one of three roles: Pilot, Gunner, or Engineer. While assignments are typically random, Cast Members may be able to accommodate requests depending on availability.
The new Mandalorian and Grogu mission also adds expanded responsibilities for each role:
- Pilots now have more responsive flight controls designed to create a smoother, more cinematic experience.
- Gunners can choose between automatic and manual targeting modes during battle sequences.
- Engineers play the biggest role in the new mission, selecting which planet the crew visits and controlling a tractor beam used to collect cargo.
Your crew’s performance directly impacts the outcome of the mission, including how many cargo crates you successfully return to Hondo.
Keep an eye out for hidden Easter eggs throughout the attraction, including references to Star Wars films, hidden gonk droids, and even a secret Grogu Mode guests can unlock during the ride.
Is Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Kid-Friendly?
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is generally considered family-friendly for guests who meet the height requirement. The ride combines motion simulation with interactive gameplay, making it especially appealing to Star Wars fans and older children who enjoy video game-style experiences.
The attraction can feel intense for some younger riders due to the motion simulator elements and fast-paced flight sequences, but many families enjoy riding together.
Best For: Star Wars fans, families, tweens, teens, and guests who enjoy immersive interactive attractions.
Will Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Cause Motion Sickness?
Because Smugglers Run uses motion simulator technology, some guests may experience motion sickness. The ride is generally considered less intense than Star Tours since it does not use 3D glasses, but the shaking, turning, and screen-based motion can still be problematic for sensitive riders.
Guests prone to simulator sickness may want to request an engineer position, which tends to feel slightly less intense than the pilot seats in the front row.
