If you’re looking for a deliciously good burger and some just-crispy French fries during your day at California Adventure, head to Smokejumpers Grill. This quick-service restaurant, which is inspired by the smokejumpers (or firefighters) who protect California’s forests, sits under the shaded coverage of towering pine trees and offers a menu of theme park favorites that’ll please picky eaters and adventurous adults alike.

Smokejumpers Grill Location

You’ll find Smokejumpers Grill in California Adventure’s Grizzly Peak area, just off Buena Vista Street and right next door to Soarin’ Around the World.

Smokejumpers Grill Menu

Step inside the airy airplane hangar that is Smokejumpers Grill, and you’ll find a mix of lunch and dinner favorites on the menu, plus a newly-added breakfast menu that started in fall 2023. The heart of this restaurant is burgers and fries, but there are twists on these classics that make it a standout option if you’re hoping for something just a little different.

Burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, and even plant-based options are all available at Smokejumpers Grill. Kids’ items here are also classics, making it the perfect place to take young picky eaters (especially if they’re fans of chicken tenders and fries!).

For adults looking for something fresh, however, Smokejumpers Grill does cater to you, too. Seasonal items are always available, meaning there’s a rotating selection of innovative sandwiches and some impressive adult beverages – including frozen cocktails and flavorful beers. Check the menu in advance of your visit, and odds are you’ll find a seasonally-inspired treat that’s well beyond basic.

Advance Dining Reservations

Smokejumpers Grill is a quick-service dining spot, which means there are no advance dining reservations offered here. As a result, you can’t reserve a spot ahead of your visit – but you can easily pop in and order any time the restaurant is open.

Smokejumpers Grill does tend to get very crowded during meal times like lunchtime and dinnertime. If you’re hoping to avoid physically waiting in line to order, or you’d like to get your order in without planning around the crowds, you can use Disney’s Mobile Order service here. It’s a handy way to get your food with ease (and without making hangry family members even grumpier).

Is Smokejumpers Grill Kid-Friendly?

Thanks to its laid-back atmosphere and its menu of familiar theme park food, Smokejumpers Grill is a wonderfully kid-friendly spot to dine inside California Adventure. While the fare here may not be the fanciest, it’s solidly delicious – and anyone who’s satisfied with a hearty burger stacked with toppings a good fries will be happy (seriously, this is a spot that makes excellent fries!).

If you’re looking for a restaurant that also offers space for the family to sit back and relax while the kids get a little noisy, Smokejumpers Grill is perfect for this. There’s room to dine both inside the hangar and outside, with outdoor dining space on both sides of the building – and plenty of shade.
