Royal Street Veranda Location

Blink and you might miss Royal Street Veranda – it’s located in New Orleans Square, but it’s not exactly as obvious as the nearby Café Orleans or the towering building home to 21 Royal above Pirates of the Caribbean next door. 

It’s right on the first corner of the New Orleans-inspired buildings as you head deeper into the land, so keep your eyes peeled for its small tables as you pass by.

Head to Royal Street Veranda for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and you’ll find a small selection of savory items to fill up on. The focus here is on food that’s connected to New Orleans or the South in some way, meaning you can find fritters and Monte Cristo sandwiches on the menu.

Speaking of Disneyland’s famous Monte Cristo sandwiches, the ones you’ll find here are a bit unique. They’re Waffle Cristo “sandwiches,” which means they’re made with waffles in place of the traditional sandwich bread, offering a breakfast-worthy spin on the original.

Royal Street Veranda doesn’t offer advance dining reservations. Instead, like all of Disneyland’s quick-service restaurants, you’ll have to visit in-person when you’re ready to dine.

However, if you’re hoping to beat the crowds and avoid waiting in the very long line that can form here, Royal Street Veranda does offer Mobile Order. Place your order in the Disneyland app and choose an arrival window, and you can keep enjoying the park without hanging around the restaurant until it’s time to pick up your food.

Is Royal Street Veranda Kid-Friendly?

With such a limited menu, there isn’t a whole lot tailored to kids and their tastes at Royal Street Veranda. However, if your kids love an Uncrustable or enjoy a good soup in a bread bowl, then they’ll like what’s served here.

Ultimately, with very few places to sit and a small menu, Royal Street Veranda isn’t the most kid-friendly place to dine. However, if you’re looking for a hearty snack or a meal that won’t break the bank, this is a great option. Just keep picky eaters in mind; you may have to head elsewhere to find them something.
