Guests looking for a Fine/Signature Dining experience at Disneyland Resort will want to visit Napa Rose. Home to modern California cuisine paired with one very extensive (and award-winning) wine list, Napa Rose offers an elegant place to dine right inside one of Disneyland’s most standout hotels.
As the “culinary crown jewel” of Disneyland Resort, Napa Rose is the perfect place for a date night or special celebration. It is designed for more adult fare than family-friendly dining, so keep that in mind as you’re considering different table-service restaurants.
Napa Rose Location
Napa Rose is located inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. You’ll find it right near the hotel’s theme park entrance into California Adventure – it’ll be on your right if you’re entering the hotel from the park.
If you’re headed into the park, you’ll spot Napa Rose on your left past Storytellers Cafe, just a short walk from the GCH Craftsman Bar.

Since Napa Rose is a Fine/Signature Dining experience, you can expect the focus here to be on the food – but since it is a culinary exploration of fresh California ingredients and flavors, there’s also plenty of emphasis on wine.
When guests step inside Napa Rose, the warm craftsman-inspired decor is meant to be reminiscent of California itself (and the towering redwoods outside that make Grizzly Peak inside California Adventure certainly help!). The dining room is elegant but relaxed, and there are a few ways to dine or drink: at the bar, in the lounge, in the main dining room, or at the Vintner’s Table.
No matter which experience you choose, the food features locally and internationally sourced ingredients turned into California cuisine. Dishes from appetizers to desserts are elevated, and wine pairings are expertly done here. Led by Chef Andrew Sutton (who previously worked at Auberge Du Soleil in Napa), Napa Rose has received numerous accolades and awards since it first opened back in 2002.
The Napa Rose menu changes seasonally to reflect fresh ingredients. So, to find out what’s on the menu ahead of your visit, you’ll want to check the Disneyland website for the latest information.
Note: In addition to Napa Rose’s elevated fare and ambiance, you’ll want to keep the dress code in mind. Guests are expected to “dress in a manner consistent with the restaurant’s wine country ambience,” according to the Disneyland website. That means you’ll need to wear clean, neat clothing (no hats, distressed jeans, or swimwear allowed).
Advance Dining Reservations
As one of the most in-demand Disneyland Resort restaurants, Napa Rose is a place you’ll definitely want to make advance dining reservations.
While reservations are highly recommended for all table-service restaurants, Napa Rose is in especially high demand. As a Fine/Signature Dining experience, its tables book up fast and are rarely available last-minute. Walk-up spots are also very limited.
So, it’s best to try to make a reservation right when the 60-day window opens up if you’re hoping to dine at Napa Rose during your visit. If you’re interested in the Vintner’s Table experience, which is open to only a select few guests each night, this is an even more popular option (and you’ll need to call the restaurant well in advance to secure a spot).
Is Napa Rose Kid-Friendly?
Napa Rose is perhaps the finest fine dining restaurant at Disneyland Resort, so it’s very elegant and tailored to adults. It’s certainly not the most kid-friendly place you can choose to dine, especially if you have little ones who are still working on their table manners (and, well, getting through a meal).
However, as someone who’s dined at Disneyland’s Fine Dining restaurants (including Napa Rose) with kids many times, it’s not necessarily a restaurant you need to skip entirely if you’re visiting with little ones. While the atmosphere is definitely elevated and fancier than most other dining spots across the resort, it is a Disney restaurant. And that means the Cast Members here will welcome kids (yes, even in all of their potentially messy glory!) and you’ll notice other families dining with kids of all ages, too.
I’d suggest saving Napa Rose for when kids are old enough to sit at the table for the entirety of the meal. The food here is fantastic, and the wine list is impressively extensive, so to get the most out of your experience, you won’t want to be hopping up to entertain especially young kids, especially for the per-person price.
