If you’re looking for something more thrilling and a rougher ride than Typhoon Lagoon’s Keelhaul Falls or Gangplank Falls, head over to Mayday Falls. The third of the water park’s whitewater rapids-style water slides, Mayday Falls is the most intense – and it’ll send you swerving and spinning inside your individual inner tube.

Is Mayday Falls Kid-Friendly?

Featuring rougher rapids and more twists, turns, and bumps than its sibling slides, Mayday Falls is pretty kid-friendly, but not the most kid-friendly option at Typhoon Lagoon. You’ll want to save this “medium-wild” ride (as Disney describes it) for older kids who are ready for some thrills.

Plus, since guests do need to ride solo on Mayday Falls in a single inner tube, it’s best to keep this off-limits until your kids are able to ride solo and more confident swimmers.

Best For: Tweens and teens looking for a rougher, tougher, and more thrilling version of Typhoon Lagoon’s other rapids-style slides.

Will Mayday Falls Cause Motion Sickness?

Mayday Falls shouldn’t pose a motion sickness concern for most guests, but some may have an issue with the whitewater rapids-style movement that includes banked turns, spins, and rougher motion overall.
