Dine amongst your favorite Pixar films and soak up the scenery at Lamplight Lounge. This table-service restaurant in California Adventure covers the storied animation history of Pixar’s films, offering guests the chance to check out sketches, memorabilia, and unique theming. And you can’t overlook the equally creative menu, which offers signature cocktails and delicious gastropub cuisine.

Lamplight Lounge is a favorite for its interior and exterior atmosphere. Dine inside, and you can keep your eyes peeled for nods to Up, Toy Story, Coco, and other beloved Pixar films. Sit at an outdoor table, and you can watch the Incredicoaster speed by, catch the Pixar Pal-A-Round in motion, and take in views of Paradise Bay.

Lamplight Lounge Location

Lamplight Lounge is located right at the entrance to Pixar Pier. It’s the first building underneath the land’s marquee.

It’s important to note that Lamplight Lounge and Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining are two different table-service restaurants. Lamplight Lounge is the fancier of the two, with an indoor dining room and waterfront patio. Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining is attached to the rear of Lamplight Lounge, but this upstairs patio offers a more limited menu and does not offer advance dining reservations (ADRs); it’s walk-up only.

Lamplight Lounge Menu

Intended to feel like a modern gastropub, the menu at Lamplight Lounge is creative, both in presentation and flavor combinations. Here, you can enjoy some artistically-inspired entrées, cocktails, mocktails, and more for brunch, lunch, and dinner.

The fare at this table-service spot will please adults easily, especially if you enjoy bold flavors. Kids may find it a little out of their comfort zone if they’re picky, but that’s solely because there are more sauces and flavor-enhancing additions that may surprise those who want consistent food.

And if it’s exciting drinks you’re looking for, the selection of cocktails and mocktails on the menu at Lamplight Lounge is excellent. From comforting childhood-inspired cocktails for brunch that taste like your favorite cereal to unique drinks inspired by films like Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc., there are so many fun options to consider.

Advance Dining Reservations

As one of the most popular table-service restaurants in California Adventure, Lamplight Lounge does offer dining reservations – and you’ll want to book one well in advance of your visit.

While reservations are always highly recommended when available, it’s crucial that you nab one if you’re hoping to dine at Lamplight Lounge. That’s because this restaurant rarely has walk-up spots. Even with a reservation, you can easily find yourself waiting well past your arrival time for your table to be ready.

Reservations often disappear right at the 60-day window for Lamplight Lounge, so you’ll want to act quickly and plan well in advance.

Is Lamplight Lounge Kid-Friendly?

While the food leans more adult than kid-friendly at Lamplight Lounge, this restaurant is a total feast for the senses – and very family-friendly.

Kids will enjoy how much there is to see and explore inside and outside Lamplight Lounge. No matter where you’re seated, kids can check out mementos from their favorite Pixar films, see cool scenery (the Incredcoaster’s launch will entertain them all meal long!), and even people-watch from the outdoor patio.

Plus, while the food is a little unfamiliar for picky eaters, there’s still a fun animation-inspired kids’ menu that offers delicious options. In my experience, the Cast Members here will also work with picky palates and adjust dishes if needed to ensure younger guests have something to enjoy.
