Hotels Within Walking Distance to Disneyland: A Complete List

by | Nov 11, 2024 | Disneyland, Disneyland Resorts & Hotels, Vacation Planning

Book a room at one of these hotels, and you’ll stay just steps away from the magic – literally!

When I stay at a hotel near Disneyland, my goal is to get into the theme parks ASAP each day. But when you’re visiting with kids, you’ll likely also need a hotel that’s close enough to get back to, whether for nap time, meals, or to take a break from all the activity. And let’s be honest: Taking a tram or bus back to a car you have to then drive to your hotel is just too much of a pain.

That’s why, as a parent who visits Disneyland at least once a month, I always suggest staying at a hotel within walking distance.

Whether you don’t want to deal with the hassle of unpacking and folding your stroller for the trams or simply prefer a quick walk to driving, parking, and tramming into the resort, staying at a hotel within walking distance of Disneyland can be super handy.

Below, we’re sharing a complete list of hotels within walking distance to Disneyland to help you decide just how close of a walk you’d like as you book your next trip.

Hotels Within Walking Distance to Disneyland: Under 10 Minutes

If you’re looking for the shortest, quickest walk possible, I hate to break it to you, but you’re going to want to splurge to stay on-property at one of Disneyland Resort’s hotels. These three are the closest options, putting you within a 5- to 10-minute walk from either Disneyland or California Adventure and the esplanade.

But if you’re okay with a slightly longer walk (and a cheaper hotel price), there are actually quite a lot of off-property hotels located right outside of Disneyland – and you can walk to and from the parks in under 10 minutes.

Here are all of the hotels within walking distance of Disneyland that have a walk of under 10 minutes:

  • Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
  • Disneyland Hotel
  • Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance
  • Fairfield Inn Anaheim Resort
  • Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground
  • Holiday Inn Express and Suites Anaheim Resort Area
  • Park Vue Inn
  • The Anaheim Hotel
  • Best Western Plus Park Place Inn
  • Tropicana Inn and Suites
  • Camelot Inn and Suites
  • Grand Legacy at the Park
  • Del Sol Inn

Hotels Within Walking Distance to Disneyland: Under 15 Minutes

If you’re willing to extend your walk to and from the hotel and theme parks to about 15 minutes, you’ll find there are even more hotel options within walking distance of Disneyland.

In fact, one of them is Disneyland Resort’s third hotel, Pixar Place. Situated a bit off-property, since it’s set back among parking lots instead of directly connected to Downtown Disney, this slightly-farther hotel offers a pretty short walk itself.

But there are also plenty of non-Disney hotels within 15 minutes of Disneyland Resort, too. Here are all of the hotels within walking distance of Disneyland that have a walk of under 15 minutes:

  • Pixar Place Hotel
  • Hyatt House at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center
  • SunCoast Park Hotel Anaheim, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
  • Holiday Inn Express & Suites Anaheim Resort Area
  • Castle Inn and Suites
  • Candy Cane Inn
  • Desert Palms Hotel & Suites
  • SpringHill Suites at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center
  • Residence Inn Anaheim Resort/Convention Center
  • Westin Anaheim Resort
  • Home2 Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort Area
  • Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim Resort

Ultimately, if you choose to book a stay at any of the hotels mentioned above, you’ll only be a brief walk from your room to the theme parks. But just keep in mind: Technically, if you stay near the resort’s Harbor Boulevard entrance, you’ll likely feel like you have a shorter walk overall as you’ll enter right at the entrances to Disneyland and California Adventure!
