Drag your body into the Haunted Mansion, a Disneyland classic since 1969, and join the 999 happy haunts who’ve taken up residence inside this Southern-inspired home. As you travel through the mansion’s halls inside your Doom Buggy, you’ll be treated to a tour via Ghost Host that takes you past frights, spirited songs, and even some lurking hitchhiking ghosts.

Queue

Currently, the queue for the Haunted Mansion is under construction – and closed to guests. Starting July 29, 2024, the Haunted Mansion (with its Haunted Mansion Holiday seasonal overlay) is open only via virtual queue.

Accessibility 

Guests do need to transfer from wheelchairs and ECVs to ride; a transfer access vehicle is available. Additionally, handheld captioning and audio description are available for guests who’d like to use them.

Is Haunted Mansion Kid-Friendly?

Kids of all ages can take a ride on the Haunted Mansion – but some may find it more kid-friendly than others. It all depends on how your kids fare with slightly spooky subjects.

There is no height restriction for this attraction, but it’s important to note that it is dark and does contain some mild frights. The ghosts inside may be friendly, but some kids may get spooked by their appearances.

Best For: School-age kids, tweens, and teens who aren’t afraid of dark rides and light frights.

Will Haunted Mansion Cause Motion Sickness?

The Haunted Mansion’s Doom Buggies are very slow-moving and follow a track with no twists or stomach-churning turns, so it shouldn’t cause motion sickness for most guests.
