Take a thrilling – and very wet! – whitewater raft ride down a California river on Grizzly River Run. This wild water attraction takes guests past the remnants of an old mining company, up to the top of Grizzly Peak, and plummeting downwards into a raging current, into caverns, and spinning past geysers and thundering waterfalls.

The queue for Grizzly River Run is entirely outdoors, and it winds through the abandoned old mining company’s buildings. As you wait, you can check out scenic views of the river, its rapids, and the rafts as they float by.

Guests must transfer from wheelchairs and ECVs to ride. Both a transfer access vehicle and a designated transfer and load area are available.

Is Grizzly River Run Kid-Friendly?

Grizzly River Run is absolutely kid-friendly – after all, what kid doesn’t love splashing, sailing through wild rapids, and getting soaked on theme park rides? It’s a classic attraction, and one that older kids will greatly enjoy.

Just note there is a height requirement, so this attraction isn’t one for the youngest age groups. 

Best For: School-age kids, tweens, and teens who love thrills and water rides.

Will Grizzly River Run Cause Motion Sickness?

Grizzly River Run may cause motion sickness for some guests. Each of the attraction’s rafts spins as it moves downriver, which may aggravate motion sickness. Additionally, there are unexpected turns, drops, and other surprises along the way, including the up-and-down motion of waves in the water.
