Take to the sky in a sleek, shiny spaceship-style gondola onboard the Golden Zephyr. This retro ride feels like it’s straight out of a classic science fiction movie – and when it’s all lit up at night, it’s even more eye-catching. The attraction glides over California Adventure, taking guests for a spin with some awesome sights.

Is Golden Zephyr Kid-Friendly?

Golden Zephyr has no height requirement and is pretty gentle in its movement and speed, so it’s a safe bet for kids of all ages. It’s particularly kid-friendly because it has everything kids love: a shiny spaceship ride vehicle and the chance to soar over the waters of Paradise Bay.

Though the Golden Zephyr is technically a giant swing, there’s not really much swinging that happens. Once the ride vehicles take off, they move in a moderately speedy circle and stay pretty stationary. Kids from toddlers to tweens should enjoy it.

Best For: Guests of all ages who love flying-style rides and want some awesome views of Paradise Bay.

Will Golden Zephyr Cause Motion Sickness?

The Golden Zephyr may cause motion sickness for guests whose nausea is triggered by spinning or circular motion. While the attraction’s vehicles only movie in a single circle (and aren’t too fast), the spinning action may be problematic for some.
