What Can You Ride at Disneyland While Pregnant? Here’s a Complete List of Attractions

by | Jan 15, 2025 | Disney California Adventure Park, Disneyland, Disneyland Park, Vacation Planning

Thrill rides may be off limits, but there are plenty of other attractions pregnant guests can enjoy at Disneyland and California Adventure.

As a Disney expert who’s been visiting Disneyland monthly for the last 30-plus years, I wasn’t going to miss out on the parks while I was pregnant – but it’s a bit of a different experience when you’re doing it for two. While much of Disneyland is available for people of every age and ability, certain attractions aren’t recommended for pregnant guests.

If you’re wondering just how many of Disneyland’s attractions you can ride while pregnant, or which ones are a safe bet, I’m sharing a complete list below.

Disneyland Park: Attractions You Can Ride While Pregnant

Unsure what, exactly, is okay to ride at Disneyland while pregnant? Check the sign at any attraction you’re considering. Disneyland actually posts an Expectant Mother Advisory on any ride that may pose a danger for pregnant visitors, making it easy to double-check before you enter the queue.

If a ride doesn’t have an Expectant Mother Advisory, you can assume it’s safe to experience.

The following are the attractions inside Disneyland Park that pregnant guests can safely ride:

  • Adventureland Treehouse
  • Alice in Wonderland
  • Astro Orbiter
  • Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
  • Casey Jr. Circus Train
  • Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes
  • Disneyland Railroad
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant
  • Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
  • Haunted Mansion
  • “it’s a small world”
  • Jungle Cruise
  • King Arthur Carrousel
  • Mad Tea Party
  • Main Street Vehicles
  • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
  • Mark Twain Riverboat
  • Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
  • Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride
  • Peter Pan’s Flight
  • Pinocchio’s Daring Journey
  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin
  • Sailing Ship Columbia
  • Snow White’s Enchanted Wish
  • Storybook Land Canal Boats
  • Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room

Keep in mind, though, that while none of these Disneyland attractions have an Expectant Mother Advisory, they may not be comfortable for all pregnant guests. Rides that spin or feature small drops, for example, may not suit anyone with morning sickness – and as you get farther into your pregnancy, the lap bars or size restrictions on some attractions may be uncomfortable.

California Adventure: Attractions You Can Ride While Pregnant

Like Disneyland, California Adventure offers an Expectant Mother Advisory on any attractions that may not be safe or suitable for pregnant guests. If a ride doesn’t have an Expectant Mothers Advisory, you can assume it’s safe to experience.

The following are the attractions inside California Adventure that pregnant guests can safely ride:

  • Animation Academy
  • Golden Zephyr
  • Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind
  • Jessie’s Critter Carousel
  • Jumpin’ Jellyfish
  • The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
  • Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters
  • Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree
  • Mickey’s PhilharMagic
  • Monsters, Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue!
  • Pixar Pal-A-Round (non-swinging gondolas)
  • Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
  • Silly Symphony Swings
  • Soarin’ Around the World
  • Toy Story Midway Mania!
  • Turtle Talk with Crush
  • WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure

Like I mentioned above, none of these California Adventure attractions have an Expectant Mother Advisory, but they may not be comfortable for all pregnant guests. See how you’re feeling before you try out a ride with a lot of spinning, like Silly Symphony Swings, or motion that may aggravate any symptoms you’re dealing with.

What Disneyland Rides Aren’t Pregnancy-Safe?

When you’re planning which attractions you’re interested in riding while pregnant, keep in mind that Expectant Mother Advisory. You can safely bet that any Disneyland attraction that features sudden bumps, jolts, inversions, or drops is going to be one to avoid while you’re pregnant.

Thrill rides across the board tend to carry the advisory, so stick to slow-moving or calm attractions to err on the safe side.

The following attractions have Expectant Mother Advisory warnings at Disneyland:
