Creature Comforts

by | May 27, 2025 | Dining, Discovery Island, Quick-Service Restaurants

Before you get your day started at Disney’s Animal Kingdom – or when you’re ready for more pep in your step – stop by Creature Comforts to fuel up. This quick-service coffee shop is the sole Starbucks location in this Disney World theme park, and it’s where you can grab coffee, tea, and an array of different baked goods or bites to enjoy as you explore.

Creature Comforts Location

Creature Comforts sits on Discovery Island, right near the First Aid and Baby Care Center and steps from the Discovery Island Trails.

Creature Comforts Menu

As you might expect, coffee is primarily on the menu at Creature Comforts, which is open from breakfast and into the early evening. It’s just like your typical Starbucks, so you can expect similar fare from pre-rope drop well into the night.

But while you can pop in here to grab coffee or a caffeinated tea, there are also plenty of other items on the menu. Here, both Starbucks Coffee beverages and other non-coffee drinks are served, from the company’s beloved Frappuccinos to customizable tea-based drinks and Refreshers.

There is a special menu item at Creature Comfort: the Flat White latte. While it’s not different from any other Starbucks location’s Flat White, when you order this latte at Animal Kingdom, it helps support the Disney Conservation Fund’s efforts to protect South America’s Cotton-top Tamarins.

Disney Dining Plan

You can use credits from the Disney Dining Plan at Creature Comforts. Since it’s a quick-service coffee shop, credits from both the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan are accepted here, as well as snack credits (based on eligible menu items that qualify as snacks).

If you’re ordering a meal here, it’ll cost you one quick-service meal credit per person.

Advance Dining Reservations

Just like all of the other Starbucks locations across Disney World’s theme parks and Disney Springs, Creature Comforts doesn’t require advance dining reservations (ADRs) before your visit. In fact, they aren’t even offered. You can stop by any time you need a cup of coffee or a bite to eat.

Is Creature Comforts Kid-Friendly?

There’s plenty on the menu at Starbucks that kids love, from cake pops to hot chocolate, and that means they’ll find items to enjoy at Creature Comforts, too. It’s a particularly great place to grab a quick bite, as this Starbucks location offers more sandwich and pastry choices than some of the other locations in Disney World.

Plus, Create Comforts is a great place to grab some snacks to carry along into the park. Here, you can find juice, milk, water, and snacks designed to be eaten on the go, like Babybel cheese, pouches of applesauce, and even yogurt parfaits. If you need a kid-friendly snack to pair with your mid-day coffee, this is where you’ll want to stop.
