Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes

by | Sep 30, 2024 | Dining, Disneyland, Downtown Disney, Table Service Restaurants

Home to iconic over-the-top milkshakes filled with everything from cookies to candy as well as craft burgers, sandwiches, wings, and more, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes is a table-service restaurant at Disneyland Resort that you’ve almost got to try to believe.

Created as an homage to the classic luncheonettes and diners from the 1980s and 1990s in New York City, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes offers comfort food that’s familiar and yet updated for today’s guests. If you’re headed here, you at least have to grab a milkshake – but make sure you’re very hungry!

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes Location

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes is located in Downtown Disney, next door to Ballast Point Brewing Co. and just across the walkway from Céntrico.

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes Menu

Crazy shakes and comfort food are on the menu at Black Tap – and we mean that literally. One of the biggest draws of this table-service restaurant are the insane milkshake concoctions, which are known as Crazy Shakes and are oversized, overflowing, and full of all kinds of treats (including entire slices of cake).

But Crazy Shakes aside, the Black Tap menu also features plenty of savory options for both kids and adults. It’s focused on comfort food, which means burgers, salads, chicken sandwiches, and more familiar staples can be found here for both lunch and dinner.

Advance Dining Reservations

If you’re visiting Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes for a meal (not just a milkshake, which can be picked up at the CrazyShake by Black Tap window), you can make an advance dining reservation (ADR) ahead of your visit.

While Disney highly recommends reservations for any table-service restaurant, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes isn’t one of the most in-demand dining spots. While reservations can disappear quickly on busy days or during crowded seasons, it’s not too uncommon to find last-minute reservations available – or even a not-too-long walk-up list.

Is Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes Kid-Friendly?

With its relatively casual dining atmosphere and its kid-friendly menu, Black Tap is absolutely a kid-friendly and family-friendly place to grab a meal. After all, what kid of any age won’t be wowed by one of those Crazy Shake concoctions?

Even if you don’t want your kids have a mixture of candy and ice cream for lunch or dinner, you can visit Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes to get a meal that’ll please anyone in your group. Picky eaters will be particularly overjoyed with the familiar favorites on the kids’ menu here, and there’s enough variety for any adult.

Environment-wise, the dining room at this table-service spot isn’t too fancy. It’s a place that welcomes kids, even if they might be a little loud or a little messy. Plus, it’s not a place where you need to worry about everyone being on their best fine dining behavior.
