Ballast Point Brewing Co.

by | Sep 25, 2024 | Dining, Disneyland, Downtown Disney, Table Service Restaurants

Ballast Point Brewing Co. is a unique Downtown Disney addition – it’s the only on-site brewery at Disneyland Resort, and it’s a local California-based one that’s right at home here. Home to just as many delicious dishes as beer varieties, it’s a table-service restaurant that offers something for everyone.

While it might not seem like the most family-friendly place, this brewery and dining spot is a great place for guests of all ages to grab a meal and enjoy the Downtown Disney atmosphere.

Ballast Point Brewing Co. Location

Ballast Point Brewing Co. is located in the Downtown Disney District, next door to Wetzel’s Pretzels and just across the walkway from Céntrico and Paseo.

Ballast Point Brewing Co. Menu

Ballast Point is open for lunch and dinner daily, though the menu remains the same for both meals. Featuring an array of different South California dishes, you’ll find a blend of brews and bites for every appetite here, including everything from poke bowls to burgers to carne asada to kids’ meals.

Beer, of course, is one of the highlights of dining at Ballast Point. To find out what’s on tap, you’ll need to visit the restaurant in-person – but it’s worth noting that in addition to beer, this brewery also serves hard seltzer, cider, kombucha, wine, and margaritas for total variety.

Advance Dining Reservations

Since Ballast Point Brewing Co. is a table-service restaurant, you can make advance dining reservations (ADRs) ahead of your visit. Like all Disneyland restaurants, it’s recommended that you make a reservation because table-service spots are highly in demand across the resort.

While Ballast Point isn’t the most popular restaurant, it does frequently draw crowds – and a long walk-up wait. Dining reservations can disappear pretty quickly, especially if you’re planning on visiting on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, the most popular days of the week here.

Is Ballast Point Brewing Co. Kid-Friendly?

A brewery might not seem like the ideal place to take your kids if they’re under 21, but Ballast Point is actually a nicely family-friendly spot to dine.

The table-service restaurant is situated out on the rooftop, with great views of Downtown Disney and the larger area. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, meaning kids can be a little, well, kid-like and noisy if needed. No one will bat an eye if they aren’t using fine dining manners here.

And while alcohol is certainly a focus thanks to the beers on tap, Ballast Point also offers quite an extensive food menu. One of the best parts? The kids’ menu is perfectly tailored to picky eaters, so you should have no issue finding something everyone can enjoy here, whether that’s chicken nuggets or cheeseburgers.
