A perfect example of the California-Crazy architecture popular in the 1950s, this quick-service restaurant invites you right up to an open-air tramp steamer so you feel like you’re dining right on the waterfront out in Los Angeles. Best of all, you’ll find some surprisingly hearty meal options here that you can grab in between attractions.

Dockside Diner sits in Echo Lake, right on the water. It’s near For the First Time in Forever: A “Frozen” Sing-Along Celebration, on the opposite side of the lake from Gertie the Dinosaur.

Dockside Diner may have some standout architecture, but the food here is pretty standard theme park fare: Hot dogs. Now, they are fancier hot dogs, but they’re hot dogs nonetheless. Is Dockside Diner Kid-Friendly?
While there’s no dedicated kids’ menu at Dockside Diner, it is a pretty kid-friendly place to grab a meal. Not only is it super casual, but it’s also home to some kid-approved staples (namely, hot dogs). There are plenty of adult-approved options on the menu here, but there are also some simpler choices for those with less adventurous appetites.
