Nestled in a corner of Adventureland is the Tropical Hideaway, an oasis filled with singing birds, sweet treats, and plenty of DOLE Whip options. This quick-service restaurant sits along the Jungle Cruise’s waterfront, offering a place to relax outdoors, enjoy a bite to eat, and catch up with Rosita from the Enchanted Tiki Room.Â
The Tropical Hideaway Location
You’ll find the Tropical Hideaway hidden in Adventureland, sitting right behind Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise.
The Tropical Hideaway Menu
The Tropical Hideaway doesn’t technically serve full meals – the menu here is all about snacks. But thanks to the mix of savory options and sweet treats available at this quick-service spot, you can actually DIY a pretty satisfying meal, if you’d like.
Inspired by the exotic destinations that Adventureland pulls together, the menu at the Tropical Hideaway is full of tasty options. Here, you can sample Asian-inspired items, Polynesian-inspired bites, or even the Disney-native tropically-inspired DOLE Whip. Designed for on-the-go snacking, you can opt for as much or as little as you’d like (and the prices here are nicely budget-minded).
If you have kids in tow, you may find the savory items on the menu here a bit too adventurous if they’re picky eaters. For adults, however, the variety is a detail you’ll love.

Advance Dining Reservations
Since the Tropical Hideaway is a quick-service location, it’s not somewhere you can make advance dining reservations for ahead of your visit. You’ll need to visit in-person to grab your snacks and a table (and no, Mobile Order isn’t available, unfortunately).
Is The Tropical Hideaway Kid-Friendly?
What kid doesn’t love a cool DOLE Whip? If that describes your little ones, then you can count the Tropical Hideaway as a wonderfully kid-friendly place to dine. Plus, thanks to its lively and well-themed outdoor patio, this quick-service restaurant offers the perfect place to sit down, enjoy your snacks, and take in the scenery – all without worrying about kids who might be noisy, wiggly, or otherwise on less-than-flawless behavior.Â
One of the reasons I love bringing my son to the Tropical Hideaway is the dining atmosphere offers so much to see. Here, kids can listen to Rosita as she chatters away, or they can watch boats from the nearby Jungle Cruise dock motor on by. Best of all, with all of the activity happening here, you don’t have to fret about a kid who’s a bit excited, noisy, or even wandering around to check out all of the cool details.
