Step inside a beverage lab worthy of one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes at Pym Tasting Lab. Here, Pym Technologies from the Ant-Man films puts its revolutionary Pym Particles to use to tinker with new brewing techniques and systems. Guests at California Adventure can taste the results, which include plenty of specialty craft beers and beer-based cocktails.

Pym Tasting Lab Location

You can find Pym Tasting Lab in Avengers Campus, right next door to Pym Test Kitchen. 

Pym Tasting Lab is attached to the larger Pym Test Kitchen, but it’s important to know that this quick-service spot is the entirely outdoor portion of the building. You’ll see the bar sitting at the center of the Tasting Lab – if you’ve stepped inside the doors, you’ve entered the restaurant itself instead.

Pym Tasting Lab is more outdoor bar than true lab, though the concoctions on the menu are creative. Here, beer is the focus – both brews and cocktails – so adults 21 and up will have plenty of options to try.

In addition to beer, Pym Tasting Lab does serve one small snack option and a host of novelties. If you’re looking for Avengers-inspired novelty items, this is likely where you’ll find them year-round.

Since Pym Tasting Lab is both a quick-service restaurant and an outdoor bar, you won’t find advance dining reservations available ahead of your visit. Instead, you can stop by any time the tasting lab is open during your time at California Adventure.

If you’re hoping to skip the long lines or want to pre-plan your order, Pym Tasting Lab does offer Mobile Order service. Place your order and choose an arrival window in the Disneyland app, and you can pick up your beer, mini pretzels, or novelty items at a designated time that works for you, all without having to physically wait in line.

Is Pym Tasting Lab Kid-Friendly?

Because beer is really the central focus of what’s served at Pym Tasting Lab, this quick-service bar isn’t exactly meant for kids. It’s better saved for adults only, whether you’re grabbing a drink to go or popping in for a bit.
