One of the longest-running character dining experiences at Disneyland Resort, Goofy’s Kitchen is an iconic restaurant. Since it first opened in 1992, it’s welcomed guests of all ages for a buffet of kid-friendly food, individual character meet and greets, and plenty of dance parties, character parades, and seasonal celebrations.
Goofy’s Kitchen is one of the most popular table-service restaurants at Disneyland Resort, especially during festive seasons like Halloween Time and the holidays. A favorite among families in particular, it’s a must-visit at least once if you have young kids.
Goofy’s Kitchen Location
Goofy’s Kitchen is located in the Disneyland Hotel. It’s just steps from the hotel’s pool and sits on the first floor inside the hotel’s convention center building.Â
Goofy’s Kitchen Menu
Like many character dining experiences at Disney theme parks and resorts, Goofy’s Kitchen offers a buffet-style meal. Here, you can enjoy breakfast, brunch, or dinner, depending on the day of the week you’re dining.
Kids and adults are taken to a dedicated table and met by a server, but you can head up to the buffet throughout your meal to try an array of kid-pleasing options. And when it comes to kid-friendly fare, it’s hard to top Goofy’s Kitchen – here, items like Mickey Pancakes, Mickey Waffles, macaroni and cheese, and even a famous peanut and jelly pizza (no, I’m not joking!) are all on the menu.
While the Goofy’s Kitchen menu doesn’t change too often, you may find some special offerings if you stop by during certain seasons of the year. Goofy’s Kitchen offers special themed brunch and dinner seatings during Halloween and the holidays, during which guests can both enjoy limited-time seasonal treats and their favorite characters in festive, fresh attire.Â
And don’t forget: Everyone gets to snap a photo with Chef Goofy himself before the meal!

Advance Dining Reservations
Since Goofy’s Kitchen is such an in-demand character dining experience, you’ll definitely want to make advance dining reservations (ADRs) before showing up at the restaurant’s door.Â
Disney highly recommends reservations for all of Disneyland’s table-service restaurants, and Goofy’s Kitchen can get snapped up particularly fast. Breakfast and brunch are especially popular – these are the cheapest meals of the day – and reservations are extra tough to get for special Halloween- and holiday-themed meals (which also come at a higher price).
So, make sure to see if you can nab a reservation for Goofy’s Kitchen right when they become available at that 60-day mark.
Is Goofy’s Kitchen Kid-Friendly?
Character dining is always a kid-friendly experience at a Disney park or resort, and Goofy’s Kitchen is no exception. However, this just might be the most kid-friendly character dining experience in all of Disneyland.
The meal kicks off before you even reach your table with a one-on-one meet and greet with Chef Goofy, plus some (included) PhotoPass photos. From there, kids will enjoy tableside visits one by one with characters like Minnie, Pluto, and Chip ‘n’ Dale. The atmosphere is incredibly laid back, with characters dancing and parading through the restaurant multiple times during each meal service to make it feel like a party.
Plus, the food on the buffet line here is wonderfully tailored to picky eaters. Kids of all ages will easily find something they like, and the chance to pick and choose will appeal to plenty.Â
