Blue Bayou Restaurant is located in New Orleans Square. Since the restaurant sits just off the loading area for Pirates of the Caribbean, you’ll find its entrance right next to the ride’s exit, next door to Pieces of Eight.

Blue Bayou serves lunch and dinner daily, but no matter what time you step inside, you’ll feel like you’re dining during nighttime on the bayou.
This table-service spot features a menu inspired by classic Louisiana cuisine, meaning there are plenty of Southern staples to enjoy. Creole and Cajun dishes like Disneyland’s beloved Monte Cristo and jambalaya are staples here, but there are also options that cater to picky eaters on the kids’ menu.
Additionally, Blue Bayou was one of the first restaurants in Disneyland Park to serve alcoholic beverages, and today you can find a special New Orleans-inspired Hurricane cocktail along with a small selection of wines and beers.

Advance Dining Reservations
You’ll definitely want to make advance dining reservations (ADRs) for Blue Bayou Restaurant. This is one of Disneyland’s most in-demand dining spots, and reservations disappear fast as soon as that 60-day booking window opens.
Walk-up tables are incredibly limited at Blue Bayou, so the odds of being able to dine here without a reservation are slim. Your best bet? Try to dine here during the off season, when crowds are lower and table-service dining reservations are, as a whole, a bit easier to get.
Is Blue Bayou Restaurant Kid-Friendly?
While Blue Bayou is undeniably one of the “fancier” restaurants inside Disneyland Park, it’s by no means at the Fine/Signature Dining level. In fact, the atmosphere inside really lends itself well to families and kids of all ages – and that’s thanks to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
While Blue Bayou is expensive and definitely costly for families with young kids, it’s a great table-service dining experience all around. The “outdoor” bayou setting is dimly lit (a little perk for kids who make messes… I kid!), but it’s not quiet at all inside, so you don’t need to worry about fine dining manners or chattering, noisy kids.
Plus, there’s plenty to see and watch while the family dines. Kids will love sitting near the water, where they can watch the boats of Pirates of the Caribbean float by, hear crickets chirping, and even listen to the faint screams of guests descending the ride’s first drop. It’s one entertaining experience and, as a result, parents might even get to sit back and relax a bit while dining.
