The Ancient Sanctum in California Adventure’s Avengers Campus is home to mysterious ruins and an eye-catching orb. Home to a former Stark Industries complex and Doctor Strange as a place to practice the mystic arts, the Ancient Sanctum lights up at night thanks to its centerpiece: the Orb of Cagliostro.
This space changes throughout the year, playing host to character meet and greets (Doctor Strange stops by, along with Loki, Scarlet Witch, and others) as well as shows and, during the annual Oogie Boogie Bash, a Treat Trail. You never know what you might encounter when you wander through the Ancient Sanctum.

Is Ancient Sanctum Kid-Friendly?
Unless there are characters hanging out in the Ancient Sanctum or a show is taking place here, this is likely going to be a pretty boring spot. Best For: Adults or anyone who knows the Avengers and their universe quite well.Â
Will Ancient Sanctum Cause Motion Sickness?
